I found this book called "Look At The Stars" in my local store (Canada) annd it is quite interesting. It is written by Gary Spivak a former Capitol Records exec that was close to the band. There are some amazing pictures in here, and goes into very deep detail the band from their lives before college, to after A Rush Of Blood To The Head, as far as when they played Moses and Ladder To The Sun on tour in 2003. One of the most interesting things in the book is the band's track by track description of AROBTTH from right after they completed it. For Warning Sign Chris said it is his least favourite song and he will never play it again. It was quite depressing for me as this is a wonderful song. Anyway, for any Coldplay fan it is a very interesting read, highly recommended!

I have that book too!! I was so surprised / happy when I found it on one of the back shelves in some bookshop in Amsterdam. He also writes about how they nearly broke up, made me nervous... Well, that's what I thought anyway..

i heard it was an interesting read.. however I know that there is another book with the same title by another author.. (can't think of his name at the moment) however.. they are both 'unofficial' books.. the band did not consent to these biographies.. just an FYI.. but I want to pick one up. :cool:

I got the book from a local store called Coles which is in the chain with Chapters and Indigo, as I said in Canada. It features the band on the cover along with the tour artwork from the 2003 tour. I would also like to say that Coldplay DID INDEED consent to the writing of this book as it says right in the text.

its also says its an unofficial book... AND Debs Wild herself told us on the official board that it wasnt. The band had no involvement in the making of this book. :cool:

 

 

so maybe 'consent' wasnt the correct word... but they defo werent involved.

Ya it definitely confused me too, something about an unofficial book but with consent or something? I know the guys werent directly involved but thought maybe they gave him permission to do his take on it. He also bothers me by consistently spelling Politik "Politix" which really got annoying after the 10th time.

your best bet is ebay.... you may not find a bunch of official stuff.. but you'll defo find rare stuff....

 

I've been lucky.. I found Blue Room ep for 30 bucks.. (USD) and some dvds with videos that people have put together..and I got a HUGE poster which I plan to get signed one day... :cool:
