Dazed and Confused!

Set in the 70's made in the early 90's, this movie is just wildness.

know what's even crazier? it's based on my hometown!!

Wooooah! I love that movie I watch it all the time.

Nice!

haha, i wouldn't call it nice.... my hometown ain't nothin to brag about but that movie is a classic, it does highlight the high class of retardness we breed though can't deny that. yea and what's funnier is they didn't even change some of the names in the movie, like i graduated with a kid whos dad was the main inspiration for one of the main characters and hes got the same last name even. it's happened with a few others but thats the only one i know of cause of the guy being in my class and all.

Thats totally wicked!

I'd be funny if someones dad was the stoner kid :P

I thought you meant it was SHOT in your town, but thats even cooler.

yea, i think theres been some law suits lately that have to due with the name use not changing it enough and so forth, but thats BS i mean they waited long enough to take action the movie came out a while ago so i doubt anything will come of it. yea nowadays the only real hazing thing that exists it this thing called the freshman-senior party and even thats been reduced to nothing from all the attention people have brought to it over the years, but that basically was on the last day of school the seniors to be go get the freshman to be from school and then take them to and undisclosed location and do undisclosed "hazing" rituals or nasty things to them. back in the day it was a hell of a lot worse, and bad if you didn't go, now it doesn't really matter and not too nasty or brutal. it's been put more in the public eye or on the radar so to speak. haha when i was in 8th grade they even had a school assembly warning us and telling us it wasn't necessary to go, it was really dumb.

Wow you have no idea how cool I find this!

But watching the movie I would've guessed that nobody cares for the hazing thing anymore, its kinda cool that you even sorta had a past about it though. I woulda thought with the modernising of everything, hazing would definately be a thing of the past.

You've made my day by confirming it actually USED To happen though  Thats friggen wicked.

well it still does to a degree if you'd like to call intimidating a bunch of 8th graders into thinking if they don't attend this meeting up at a field to be smeared and beated with a bunch of rotten eggs and animal feces that their freshman year will be living hell. but with the fact that most 8th graders now talk to actual 9th graders and know that there is nothing that seniors can really do to them at the highschool, not many show up and it's more the idea if the tradition of the FS party and if you don't go as a freshman you dont' get to go as a senior and do it to those incoming freshman, so on and so forth. so it's on a much smaller scale and they don't do as much harsh stuff anymore.

haha, although when i was a freshman there was a funny lunchroom incident between a freshman in my class and a senior. the freshman had been sitting at one end of this table then got up and a bunch of seniors sat down and when he came back they wouldn't move and so he sat there any ways, and it ended up with him running his mouth and saying dumb stuff and the seniors throwing his lunch at the trash can.

Meh I'll have to read a book, learn history, accounting and stuff.

Not really fun.
