busybeeburns Posted June 21, 2005 Share Posted June 21, 2005 Ian McCulloch (Echo & The Bunnymen) has invited Chris Martin to join his band onstage at Glastonbury next weekend. Coldplay are massive fans of Echo And The Bunnymen, and have covered their song ’Lips Like Sugar’ over the years. Speaking to 6 Music, McCulloch said he’d like to meet up with his old friends at Glastonbury, where both bands are playing on Saturday (June 25). He said: "You never know, Chris (Martin) might say 'Macca will you play ’Lips Like Sugar’ with us?' Or he might say: 'Macca can I sing ’Nothing Lasts Forever’?'
