Next to Coldplay... my biggest obsession is buskers!

I live in Halifax where we have a huge fest every summer in August (which isn't enough to last me through the rest of the year...).

Anyone else love busker fests? Got any good busker stories?

Need to explain to the americans what a busker is? :lol: ;)

it's all there... it's the only thing the city really has going for it all summer...

even the fireworks for Canada Day get CANCELED until next year..

yea.. our posts in the tea party thread got me thinking about buskers and then when i searched... I couldn't believe there wasn't a thread devoted to the admiration of all those wonderfully talented people!

:lol: I know there are a few buskers on here because I vaguely remember some people talking about busking ages ago. I think it was gas_man and skinned alive :idea2: ...that may be really really wrong but I know there were guys on here who busked :idea2:

speaking of busking... just had to dig out this old old old thread...

went to the shopping mile and there was this guy with the piano (told you guys about it already in the christmas thread)...

he played Elton John songs and Cat Stevens songs and... some Michael Jackson hits on the piano.

buksing with a PIANO?!?!?!

yeah, was quite surprised. looked him up on the internet and found out that busking is his job. he's travelling through european countries such as italy and france with his piano. he's german though...
