but who sings the vocals in "Parachutes"? it sounds like Chris Martin sometimes, but other times, it just sounds a bit... different... did he record this song early in his career, or was he experimenting with his voice?

Having jsut listened to it very carefully on headphones, I think I can say with certainty that it's just Chris. His voice is fluctuating between tones, but I don't think it's anyone else.

maybe it's harder to tell because chris's voice was very raw back in the pre-AROBTTH days

Mmm, I listened to this album for the first time in nearly a year today and his voice sounds SO different!! I'd love to hear him sing 'High Speed' now...!! :stunned: after that I listened to some of the early EPs and I was REALLY surprised how he's changed...

the EPs are great... i love Brothers and Sisters.... particularly the title track and Only Superstition....

 

great to see their sound evolve....
