Audio slave or Rage Against The Machine

Featured Replies

honestly, that Audioslave CD is one of the biggest musical disappointments i've ever encountered. i have no idea how members of two of the best bands of the 1990's could combine to make such terrible music, but they did.

so yeah, i liked rage more too. :D

Audioslave is simply Rage with all the political motivation and direction sucked out. End result: meaningless riffs

Zack De La Rocha was such an integral part of Rage, his lyrics made them so angry and good, put on Bullet in the Head or Take the Power Back and you'll see that his lyrics are incredibly profound.

switch to Audioslave - i can't actually make out what Chris whatisface is saying half the time lol, he seems to elongate words so i can't understand their meaning. Even if i could, the meaning won't be as exciting as Zack screaming about how messed up the US is, hence the fact i'm not a huge Audioslave fan.

i admire Tom for trying again, and i'm 100% behind his stance with the war and all the publicity he's generated with the guy out of System (nice to see he's still got that political willingness) but alas, the music kinda sucks compared to Rage.

I remember I was drunk and I saw that Audioslave music video w/ them in the house and everything and I was like..

"Look at that poor guitarist..(refering to that cute black/mixed dude)..you know he wants to play and rock out to some hard lyrics..but he struck strumming some soft barely there notew w/ Chris ..doesn't Chris look like they just plucked him out of A Three Musketeers movie?"

i rather see rage in concert. :D
