i searched to see if there was a thread about these guys and didn't see one so i figured i'd get the ball rolling.

 

i just sort of randomly found out about these guys (saw their video for 'apply some pressure' in american eagle a few months ago and went straight home to d/l everything by them), i adddore their sound.

 

i checked out their tour schedule on their website and it looks like their doing a buttload of shows opening for the bravery (which would be such a fucking great concert!! i juuuust saw the bravery a few weeks ago! wish maximo had been there then)

 

anyway, they are great. hope others agree!

I'm starting to really like this band. I like their song 'going nowhere'.

"A Certain Trigger" is a good record, but it's not a masterpiece as the critics believe. I prefer the Kaiser Chiefs...

But they're some good songs on the record... "Coast is always Changing" ist fantastic

it wouldn't surprise me to hear their overrated...but to be honest i've never heard a word about them and not many people i know that are really into music ever spoke about them. they must be big in europe, right? because in canada and the states their virtually unknown i'd say?

Yes yes,i just got their album last week and it is so good,i'm really liking them at the moment and Paul Smith is so cool,love the signature RJ!!! ;) But ya i love apply some pressure,its so catchy!! :)

Really into this album at the moment! My highlights would have to be "Apply Some Pressure", "Limassol" and "Acrobat". They do remind me of Kaiser Chiefs which is good for me! So many of these refreshing, new bands have come out this year...Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party and Maximo Park to name a few. But yeah, good stuff the Park!

maximo park are amazing, me and my friend are addicted to them, get their album dammit!

maximo parks album is the third best album of the year, after david gray and x&y in my opinion.... gotta love acrobat wish they were playing manchester soon.... :cry:

I love the singers accent! :rolleyes: So, yes, I like Maximo Park. I haven't listened to them that much, yet, so I can't say how much I like 'em. ;)
