my poems are where I want them to be, school, newspapers things like that. though I like writing stories better, I got some stuff published

And I agree with Elsje. You came here with your know-it-all attitude (after all, you do have a poet for a bf :thinking: ) and advised us that we should not be so "lame" and go around writing "same" poems. That proves you haven't really looked around.

Art is not about how many different poems/pieces of work you do, it's about how good you do them. Now if you have 1000 poems...that doesn't make you a good poet ;)
