Afraid

 

Nobody here that wants to hear me

They wanna fix their own soul

When I was young I had nobody

No road that tells me where to go

 

Just when I couldn't get much higher

My life turned upside down

Reality cuts me like a knife

I guess there's no desire for life

 

All this moment I want things to change

But I'm afraid

From now on I will change

It's delirious

 

There's no reason to be depressed

I know the sun will shine again

Saving my mind from demons

I shouldn't think of pain

 

I knew that I was different

I finally see

It's useless to look back

I will accept the new me

Now, here's mine... this is a special poem, for someone very special for me (I've loads of special persons in my heart, but two of them are more important than the others...)

 

So, Elsje, this poem is for you.

 

It's called Twin

 

Crowd of names, crowd of faces,

My words crossed yours in that place.

 

Shyness and unsecurity were our defences,

First I didn't want to cross the fence,

Understanding I was scared of unknown,

But I didn't want to let you go.

 

Discovering you was like

Exploring an unknown and far land,

Or walking through the darkest nights,

While touching the walls with my shy hands.

 

Our words became more assured,

We felt safe, we felt like cured,

Cured of our wounded and similar past,

Relieved about knowing our mess wouldn't last.

 

Common scars, common pains,

We both opened our wounds again

We know they could never disappear

We know we can't swipe away that fear.

 

Like two mirrors, face to face,

We are each other's refect,

Infinitely deep, creating a huge space,

Showing all of our own aspects.

 

But life's not a calm sea,

And sometimes we got angry,

Getting through so much tides and waves,

We fought against the storm, we were brave.

 

Lost and hurt, our boat

Never sank, it still floats.

We are different, but we are the same

You are my twin and Elsje's your name.

That someone is me. Yes well a lot of things happened in my family that I'm not going to put here. See, I'm kinda special. Disease and much more.

I wasn't born because my parents wanted an other child, my sis asked me, only she did. I'm rambling now too.. :P

I don't know if I may answer the question.

Yes she did, a lot of things happened in my family, a lot of things that shouldn't have happened.

She did ask for me cos she felt alone, she wanted someone that loves her for being her. My parents aren't the ones with who you could simply cuddle with or go to if you have some problems.

Therefore I am here and I'll always love her the most.
