Lol, I just watched "MTV Masters". They had a report about hidding tracks and they mentioned Nirvana, Coldplay, Marilyn Manson and some other bands/artists. Suddenly they said that Farin Urlaub's "Am Ende der Sonne" record also contain a hidden track before track number 1. I was like WTF, tried to find it out directly, but my record player didn't find it. I used my brother's player and there it is! OMG! What a surprise just 3 days before Christmas Eve! :D The song is called "Noch einmal" and it's so amazing. I remember that they played it when Farin and his Racing Team were in Bremen two months ago.

 

God, I would spend more than 100 euro to get a ticket for that "Ärzte" concert on December 31st in Cologne! :confused: I'm so addicted to them... again! :nice:

I just bought Hieb und Stichfest album by Mia and quite like it as well.

 

But I think the best German bands are Kante and Toctronic. Although Kante are often hard to get into. Everytime I hear a new song by them it takes me ages until I really like it.

Lastfm randomly played them a couple of times. They're sort of indie/electronica stuff.

Yeah, in the latest Musikmagazin, the new album of Kante was nominated as one of the best records of 2006. I listen to a few songs of them but I didn't like them yet. Maybe it will take some time... :)

I also like to discover bands from different countries and IMO one of the best music nations today is Sweden. They have so many fantastic artists and bands.

 

Well, Mia's songs are always very complicated and difficult to understand. "Alles neu" means "All new" and think it's a song with political intention.

Yeah, Sweden and Scandinavia has some very cool music.

I stil didn't find time to buy that album, the new Kante one. I just recently bought an old EP by them though.

 

I'm thinking of seeing them live as well. Alles neu is definitly one of favourite songs by them.

and i quite like mixture of Arabic and Western music-that is Ishtar(you must have heard "Last Kiss") and some songs by Natacha Atlas (my fav is Mon Ami La Rose)

This evening on my way back from the North sea (I had such an amazing day and the weather was absolutely wonderful without any clouds) I was listening to my car radio. Suddenly one radio station played a song called "Rückspiegel" written by a band called "Olli & der Hund Marie" from Hamburg. It was so wonderful and now I just can't stop listening to this song... :nice: The lyrics are great!
