"The Idler Wheel is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw, And Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do" is the best album released this year by a million trillion miles

Gawd I love it so much

Her new stuff is just so tortured and static and angsty and AHHH

Random Fiona thoughts (this is how I fanboy about stuff, I know I'm weird but shut up)

- Wordplay man WORDPLAY

- Charlie Drayton is a kickass producer: TONS of respect for stepping out on this girl. All the crazy percussion is his doing

- Love the homemade instruments (a la a "truck stomper" in Jonathan and that weird shovel thing in Anything We Want)

I could go on and on but it doesn't matter

I saw her live in St. Louis in July and she was so hilariously awkward when she would talk to us, adjusting her eyeglasses as they slid down the bridge of her nose, shaking her body around as she'd belt out a croon.

But she's a HELL of a performer.

Just yes.
