This is exactely the same I think,too.....

blues...for example Jimi hendrix,Steve Miller Band.....I prefer this kind...and Alternative.....and many more....except this real hardcore Hip-Hop and Techno!

hmmm .. depends how you characterise bands .. what are Coldplay? what are Muse? i'd just chuck them in Rock lol but i like Dance music and hip hop ... i like loads of different stuff but .............

I do not have a fav genre. I like what sounds good to me. All music is good. If the performer is good.

Rock or Alternative? Well Alternative belongs to Rock...but I listen to Alternative bands mostly I think and I don't like everything in Rock (Metal e.g.)...ah whatever, I choose Rock.
