Being an Englishman myself I don't reckon they'll even get the past the group stage! They're diabolical!

Strange things happen in the finals - luck always plays a big part, too. Once you qualify, anything's possible. Just wait and see..............................

I'll reserve judgement until after the finals. The Northern Ireland match aside, we still have an excellent record in competitive matches under Sven. The only other defeats (not including penalty shoot-outs) were against France and Brazil.

15 minutes before the end of that France match (when we were 1-0 up) I said to my my mate I bet we lose, and we did!!!

^I know - that was awful, but it was also an unfair result as we had played well and deserved a draw, if nothing else.

The point is, we weren't outplayed, and against Brazil, it was only in the last 20 minutes that we ran out of steam (and then they scored that bizarre goal where Seaman fell backwards).

All I'm saying is, don't give up hope. We do have an excellent squad this time.

The squad is actually the best for decades - and if Wayne Rooney is on fire next summer, we have a chance, as he's immensely talented.

I think you may have misunderstood. "No brainer" means that your choice is a "no risk" one because Brazil are always either the favourites or second favourites to win.

So of course, Brazil are always in with a chance of winning. That doesn't mean they will, though............................................
