The Northern Ireland match aside, we still have an excellent record in competitive matches under Sven. The only other defeats (not including penalty shoot-outs) were against France and Brazil. The point is, we weren't outplayed, and against Brazil, it was only in the last 20 minutes that we ran out of steam (and then they scored that bizarre goal where Seaman fell backwards). "No brainer" means that your choice is a "no risk" one because Brazil are always either the favourites or second favourites to win. So of course, Brazil are always in with a chance of winning.
