Does anyone know why they switched "Talk". Was it because of the leak?

I think it was because of the piracy... but it's only a thought. :confused:

Talk wasn't the only song that was switched during the recording process. I think that after recording Low they decided to go back and re-do all their other tracks, Talk being one of them. By the time the leak of the old talk occurred, they already had the second version (the mix no one has yet heard) and so I don't think it was totally based on the leak. But I think the leak, and a desire to push album material to another level, caused Chris to re-write the lyrics from the 1st and 2nd version for the 3rd final version we have now.

apparently the record company said it should be the first single, so they decided to swiftly change it!

One question is; do they even know it leaked?

yes the band know that the version of 'talk' was leaked
