has anyone noticed a trend to the past two coldplay albums, with what songs are released and the numbers of the songs.

 

i.e. slow but excellent song #4 fix you, #4 the scientist.

First song played during a gig #1 politik #1 square one

both of those songs open the albums, so it makes sense to open the shows with them, for the same reason they opened the albums.

You forgot about #4 sparks, which is also a slow song. Its weird I just thought about this the other day.

theres quite a few similarites between arobtth and x&y. i don't remember the singles release order from arobtth, but it seems as though x&y is taking to the same pattern.
