so last week i was dying. i staid home with a bunch of medicines and my TV. I watched a Seinfeld marathon and i likeD it. does anyone likes it?

i guess it's ok... but i don't really get the humor in seinfeld. Like, it's suppose to be really funny in an ironic way, but i don't think it's very funny.

 

I like "Friends" funny or "That 70s Show" funny... kinda stupid funny :)

Seinfeld fan here as well! It is on tv alll the time. I can't help but love how the show is about nothing. George's father is my favorite character. the episode where we see he used to be an army cook. :lol: I about died when they did the flashback. great show

my all-time favorite show...i'm glad ppl outside the states enjoy it.

 

To be honest, i know lots of people who don't live in the states confess that they don't think it's funny because it's a very New York and/or Jewish sense of humor. i think the jokes on the show are universal...what do you guys think?

- George pushing the kids and old ladies out of the way to escape the fire

- Kramer getting harrassed by the street toughs

- Elaine's dancing

- Frank, George's dad - simply everything

- Newman LOL

 

 

Still one of the best shows on tv - everynight on TBS 6 - 6:30.

SEINFELD: Best. Show. Ever. Period. Love it, love it, love it!! (Well, the later episodes weren't as good as like the first 5 seasons, but still...)

what!! The latter seasons writing was so much more seasoned that the earlier ones..

I do enjoy watching the latter seasons more so than the earlier stuff. And also, i think the characters just got so much better as the show went on.

1) I agree about the characters... they really made them their own and come alive as the show progressed..

I don't know...I still think that it got worse as it progressed. The storylines got SO outrageous and the characters just became charicatures of their original selves. Plus, you'll notice that each scene takes literally seconds before going to the next in the later ones...they don't let any storyline fully develop before switching to another crazy one. It just started to be too damn silly for me.

 

I mean, all the great episodes are from the earlier seasons--"The Chinese Restaurant", "The Bubble Boy", "The Junior Mint", "The Boyfriend", etc. How can you argue with that? :D

I think that's what I liked about it. It was so outrageous, that it was freakin' hilarious!
