lord of the rings.... books were as boring as hell

lol i havent got past page 20 in the hobbit.......erm....forrest gump :P

hehe i thought tolkien's books were way more entertaining than the two movies so far but i have a habit of enjoying books that everybody else thinks are boring. then again those books were immensely popular for 40 years before they ever made movies so maybe YOU are the ones who are weird. :P

Shining is really good. Kubrick's works are always interesting...and so full of the colour orange, have you noticed?! 8)

And if we stick to Stephen King's novels, I think that 'The Green Mile' is absolutely better as a movie that as a novel(s)!!

yea kubrick.....he directed eyes wide shut right? hmmm that was odd......Emma was good too ...OWW I HAVE AN OLSER!!!!

I didn't know, but lots of John Grisham's books has been turned into movies, has anybody seen them? they are a lot about lawyers :D

Oh the films based on Grisham's books are quite good.

I think A Clockwork Orange is a good example for an excellent book-based film.

lol that movie was weird but i loved it cuz it was original

eye kant reed!! :: cries ::

lol. actually i just choose not to read many books. so i dunno?

either bridget jones diary or about a boy. i loved the books and i loved the movies :D

i never saw that one! i would love to though...is it scary? *please please please*

Why do you people think The Shining was a good movie? I hated it! So many things that were taken out of the book! The mini-series that came out a few years back was WAYYY better

Quite violent. You'll listen to Sinatra's "Singing in the Rain" in a complete new way, believe me :D

The thing about Tolkien was that he was way too verbose for my tastes. Thats one reason why I enjoy the movies more.

I also didnt like the Shining. I loved the Green Mile.

i didnt like the shining...i didnt read the book...i only liked the hotel

Wasen't 'Cider house rules' adopted from a Ghrisham's book? That was a beautiful movie somehow! Oh, and so was 'The Client' and 'The Rainmaker'!

'A Clockwork orange' :o ;) :) I loved the cinemaphotography in it...but the story was somewhat ...weird! Nice ending though! 8)
