A few weeks ago, I discovered a DVD called "The Coldplay Phenomenon" on amazon.de. It was released last week and as there is no further information concerning the DVD's content, I wonder if anyone of you knows what it's about?!

 

It doesn't look like an official DVD, but it says "An independent review of Coldplay on record, stage and screen. Includes archive footage and interviews." - The phrase "Archive footage and interviews" sounds pretty interesting, right? ;)

Never heard about it, but it's definately unofficial.

 

 

Probably one of those history of the band things with some random footage integrated.

I work for HMV UK and when this was released I thought id see what it wwas like, its mainly snippets of concerts and glasonbury footage.

 

It says on the cover "including songs speed of sound, white shadows etc" but when i came to play it, White Shadows didnt feature AT ALL.

I have that one also and I almost stopped watching it in the middle. It was literally the same video, interview and pictures/stills shown throughout the video. Including the most RANDOM people interviewed I've ever seen. I wasted my money on that one...

 

But if the new one is good, I may have to buy it...

If this Phenomenon one's really that good, I'll get it for Christmas.

I had a best friend who was an aspiring director. I've seen his student films...and that Unauthorized documentary was sub-par at best. I know, I shouldn't have expected it to be fantastic. But I at least expected to be interesting! It was mostly random people going "Well, I think, the reason Coldplay is so great is because...blah...blah...blah"

 

If I wanted that, I could talk to myself...orI could come here...and get better reasons and more interesting bits of information than I got out of that entire thing!
