While it was just a bit long in the last scenes, I really loved this movie. The effects are amazing, especially the long string of escape scenes that the cast goes through. Its like ..... :stunned: ...... wowww. While the original King Kong was more focused on the brute force of Kong, the new Kong feels pure love for Naomi Watts and its just such an emotional movie to watch. I say go watch this movie!

there was a group of bloody kids behind me that were swearing and yellin and then they laughed when kong fell. and i wanted to punch coz they were like 2 years old. :angry:

Good movie.

 

It was a very tiny bit too long, and there were afew too many reminders that Pete started out doing horror movies (giant centipedes anyone? *shudders*) but if that's the worst that you can complain about a movie, that's really not much. It was enchanting.

I know the "immature" kids never take serious movie moments seriously. I try to block them out of my mind. When I went to see it, there was this old guy coughing every 5 minutes. Annoyed the crap out of me!

I loved this movie! I cried at the end, left the theatre and cried again! :D It was really good!

i saw it today and loved it. actually i feel quite distressed (if thats the word for it) to see the way Kong was treated... great, suspensful, and quite scary nonetheless

yeah same! it was soooo good and really sad...i cried, i saw it twice cos it really is that good!i love it :cry: yeah lotr are my fav movies with king kong, so peter is definately my fav director, he's so good

In other news. Peter Jackson is losing a lot of weight. Wow.

my older brother watched it and told me it was sooo bad. He said it was the sort of bad movie that is soooooooooooooooo bad that is just funny because it's so bad.

And it's 3 and half hours long?!?! WTF???? The scenes must have reallllllllllllly dragged on and on and on!

I'm not really eager to see it, it sounds like it's filled with bullshit to me

i liked the movie but it's not one of my favourite movies....and i noticed that when naomi was in kong's hands the background looked really bad...you could really see that there was a screen behind her or something...

It wasn't too long, needed every bit (except maybe the extra 2minute freak out from Kong, which awsn't neccessary)

yeah, I must say...I liked some parts, but most of it was really overdone if you ask me....I mean that escape scene through that narrow path with the dinosaures chasing them....really really fake....

Ohw, and I really didn't like the way they've made KONG look like a little child full of love.....brrrr

 

But, that's just me....maybe I just wasn't in the right mood the night I saw it

i'd say that almost all the parts were quite real, except when they were on the rowboat going to the island and they had a close up of naomi. the background was totally fake and you could see that it was total CGI or the green screen or something.

but i really like the part where they find a footprint of kong and one of the ship's crew member goes "there's only one creature who can do this... the abominable snowman" :lol: :lol: :lol: that was just so cute. n i read somewhere that that was andy serkis. anyone can confirm this?

all in all, the best film i watched for the year (2005, that is)

I just finally saw this film last week. Have to say i was very impressed. The actors were amazing, and when naomi screams she was so good i got goosebumps and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up!!! :stunned: Also who knew jack black could be so serious in a film. He also brought some slight comedy to it, but only becasue you see comedy in him because of his past. But again a very good cast and script.

 

The special effects also were incredible...I didnt think Mr Jackson could top what he did with the lord of the rings trilogy but he just gets better :)

 

Oh i could go on and on so im going to stop now :D

The CGI team was incredible. The jungle scenes were shot with props, but in front of green screens also. Later that added even more digital jungle to the movie, but you don't even notice. This team is definitely getting the Oscar this year.
