Yellowbug, yes I think World War II was one of the main reason why Germany and the Netherlands have a rivalry. It's the same with Germany and England. :( I also like both countries. I'm living near the Dutch border, so I often go shopping in cities like Groningen or Enschede.

 

By the way, never say to a Dutch man that he's coming from "Holland"! :P Holland is just a little province in the Netherlands. They want to hear "the Netherlands".

Schweinsteiger and Ballack are indeed good players but they don't neccassarily perform when the going gets tough. I went to a few Hannover matches when I was in Germany and from what I saw, Mertesaker is one of the best young defenders in the game.

Heheh..........to be really honest:

The german Team is really not the best....and they are really lucky that they play at home........but I think if they had that group in anther country they would pass the 1st phase....

And if the atmosphere is like in the last matches it will be incredible...

 

I think most of the germans are quite optimistic and this is cool!
