Hmmm. He had a bad day yesterday, again. I feel sorry for him because he's clearly not helped by a defence that won't trust him. He looks like he is getting no mental support from the dicks in front of him. Their defence was all over the place with corners. Three were marking Andy Carroll on the first corner of the game and then on the corner that led to Agger's goal!

Also I don't think I've seen Liverpool score an easier goal against Manchester United with Kuyt's goal. Despite the mistakes Manchester United were set up well as showed by the possession. Ok admittedly Kenny got it wrong with his initial set up. Carragher playing in the defensive midfield position didn't do much apart from shore up the defence which allowed United to dominate in midfield. But for Liverpool to beat Man Utd when Liverpool were far from great is a sweet victory indeed.

SAF needs to retire whilst he has digity intact.. you can not have a team and your major signin of the season is a 37 year old !

I finally get to see Liverpool! Living in the states, it's nearly impossible to see your favorite clubs, but Liverpool is playing Tottenham Hotspur in a friendly and I got tickets! I'm so excited!:D

Ahh what an effort Cheese Nip! Great to see Liverpool have fans over there. Spread the word about this great team Cheese Nip! When they lose like today it can be really tough but when Liverpool win - there is no sweeter feeling in the world!

I think the reaction has been a bit over the top, yes it makes the form guide even worse (6 losses out of 7) but, Newcastle are a tough team to play, and you had 3 or 4 clear chances to score (Including a penalty shout, which I thought should have been a penalty) before we did, then your heads dropped. But playing away from home, when our form since christmas is only bettered by the top 2, I don't know how many Liverpool fans could say they expected a result, rather then hoped for one, so I think its unfair for MOTD to paint this as a nail in the coffin for Kenny.

Wow I didn't know about this!! That's so cool, at that time my brother and cousin will be here so it would be fun to go!

Besides, it would be really cool to see Suarez here!

The BBC will do anything to stir up Liverpool hype. Bastards.

You are totally correct though. Newcastle are just having a fantastic season and on current form you have to say were favourites to win today. There is absolutely no shame in losing to Newcastle. However there is shame in the manner of the defeats against Wigan, Sunderland etc. Mentally the squad is at rock bottom. Having knocked at the door for so long this season with chance after chance yet coming out of so many games with less than they deserved is tough to take. The Arsenal defeat really sent us crashing. That pretty much ended the Champions League charge in a match where we should have been at least 4 up by half time.

They've lost it mentally, but that isn't an excuse. It's a real criticism of the players. Either they are not giving it enough which is a disgrace in any Premier League footballer's books considering how much they get paid or they are mentally very weak which obviously doesn't merit playing for the club if that's the case. If you can't combine your mentality into one collective effort then what is the point? Clearly Kenny and Damien Comolli for that important matter are going to have to perform much better in the transfer window this summer and try avoiding the wet soggy blankets the likes Downing and Henderson have turned out to be because at present I see no individual in this team who can really drive this team forward apart from Suarez, but he needs someone to help him go forward. What about Steven Gerrard some may say? Well you can't rely on him all the time and his form of late bar the derby hattrick has been worrying. I don't really expect him to perform the job he did almost week in week out anymore. Only sporadically. We need a replacement for that talisman. A new talisman.

I dont know why Reilly is posting in this thread.. ! ?

Do you know if it's even near you? America's not a small place.

It's a real tough one to call the Liverpool situation, I'd hate to be a fan of theirs right now- not because of their position, but more because of why its happening. I saw Newcastle get relegated and although we were so close to scraping out of it, we knew why, there was no belief in that squad and the players weren't up to par, so at least I could accept that. With Liverpool right now, I have no idea, as you say there's been times when they've had chance after chance and haven't come out with a result, it indicates the players are doing something but for whatever reason its just not working, and I don't know where you can look for blame.

I have to say though, as I said its unfair to criticise your team too much for losing to an in-form side away from home, you have Villa next, at home, considering Villa's season and lack of fight so far, that's a must win. A draw would be un-satisfying, and a loss, well imagine todays media reaction, except doubled.

I dont know why Reilly is posting in this thread.. ! ?

Because we played Liverpool today and Howyousawtheworld mentioned the loss just a few short posts ago? Do you actually even read posts or just see who replies and react from pure, idiotic instinct?

If this is about the thread only being about supporting Liverpool well I certainly wasn't criticising them, if anything I was saying Kenny's unfairly getting an overload of criticism after losing to an in-form team, which happens to be mine, if they had lost to Chelsea and there was the same reaction from media, I'd have still responded.

If you mean that this is a thread for Liverpool fans only, what are you doing posting in it? Every now and then could you try and make a little sense please, it might feel really refreshing, you never know.

Do you know if it's even near you? America's not a small place.

Look, i'm not an idiot. I don't care if it's near or not, I can go to any event I want even if it's a thousand miles away from where I am.

Anyway, Baltimore is just a bit less than an hour away from where I am, so don't worry, i'm close enough.

I wasn't worrying OR calling you an idiot but your initial post sounded like you didn't know where the game specifically is going to be, if you do make it out there, have fun.

Well, I actually searched for information to know where the match is taking place before posting. Anyway, thanks.
