Education

how important is it for you? how far you want to go? college, university,PhD?

or you want(ed) to earn money as ealy as possible?

in my opinion the education is very important.if you have a good one you won't face huge problems if you lose your job.i know a man who worked for the same company for 20 years.he lost that job last year and now he has big problems to find a job again.he finished his education very early when he was 20,i think he was too lazy to continue and go to uni for example.now he really doesn't know what to do.

another point is that you don't need to have a high education is some jobs, only some basic knowledges,so in my opinion there's always few ways to begin to do something with your life

well, i agree that education is very important!!!

but in my case when i was 14 my family was going through some financial problems, so i quit school to help them...

agreed, you have to help your parents till your death.but you always can continue,i mean my dad started to work at 16,around 20 he went back to school(college),after went to US and finished his education at 30,so i think you can always continue

If I can find a job without more than college schooling and that pays the bills...I need no more..I live a simple life ;)

There is plenty, brother...but people don't look around...I mean, even a meter maid can make more than a secretary...depending what company..and I bet you had never thought about being a meter maid...!? Well someone told me about it. And while i would NOT become a metermaid or anything...i am just saying, there's some prety obscure jobs out there that pay really well and give great hours. Right now i am studying for like three things at once and they are all considered "back up jobs" but put together..they will fit my lifestyle ;)

if you're sure they're not "temporary",it's good.i think to get a good job (here i mean earn a lot of money) without uni nowadays is very hard.it can change in the future and it will be harder and harder

No..they can be temporary or part time or spare time (you know, extra cash) or just plain ..they can be your regular job...

It's just that people always think big and common and don't consider those obscure things

the level of unemployment is very high in US and it's rising,if people would care more about their future there it would be a bit a different in my opinion, but it's not only their fault, government's as well

THat is the news of the day, unemployment.

Mauby people are lazy, maybe the jobs are too little, it's hard to actually calculate that to a fact here in the states.

I know what i figure to do, and i am doing it so you could put me in the position of the people who know and care about what to do in the future. I guess (and i thought about this friday in economics class)

I am the type that can make a job out of anything. All my friends are mostly guys and they are the handy guys ...right? and they learned all types of jobs that need to get done, anywhere, anytime, all the time. Like my friend Charles, for example, he does window washing, pressure washing, repairs, installations (electrical work), and so many other odd jobs. And i drove around with him one day and everywhere he looks on the streets (he says) he sees a way to make money. He sends his business card to new strip centers to see if they need his type of work. It just impressed me that he could do any one thing (and those things are needed all the time) and make money...it's easy work too. Even I can do it. It's just a matter of finding it and getting to it

I hate college. If there was another way, I'd take it.

Look around girl...maybe a trade school? Two of my future jobs are in being taken care of in trade schools. There is no use in wasting time and money for added things that you won't even use in what you plan on doing

these are temporary jobs you can do them when you need money, but you can study at the same time as well.i'm sure i would the same in few 3-4 years, because i will need money for living,i cannot live with my parents forever. you can do all these things but i think it's better if you do your high education at the same time too,it's much easier to live after in THIS world. you need to have at least 2 choices, what if you'll be fired, you will have to look for another job.to study in your first 20-30 years of your life is better than after learn from mistakes...everything can happen, you need to have few opportunities. years ago not everybody could study (i think in some countries still a big problem) for free

What for..they guy used that money to start his won Wireless company..and he studied that on his own free time. He didn't even study at a uni for it or anything..and he gets 10,000+ dollar contracts like that! he and my brother are in that business and it's hit pretty well (despite the no uni. edu.) as soon as i get my certifications (obtained with out college/uni) i will have 1/3 ownership...but will keep my other jobs just cuz i can't stand not working. He is the same way and is running 3 businesses all at once! You just have to get up and FIND something. But people must think it is tough or scary...but it's not...the hardest part is the beginning. After that...it's all a flash!

i don't know if you can do it in US,but here in Switzerland you need a bit more.if you want to have a good career, pension after you need to have a high education,it's not easy of course but you have to try,i will anyways or i'll go to US and will join your company :P ."poor" swiss are not as poor as poor people in some other countries,i mean with basic, common jobs you can earn enough money to live

I believe Switzerland has one of the best educational programes (they also have the money for it)...

and i also think that 80% of unemployed people don't want to work at all...

i don't know if you can do it in US' date='but here in Switzerland you need a bit more.if you want to have a good career, pension after you need to have a high education,it's not easy of course but you have to try,i will anyways or i'll go to US and will join your company :P ."poor" swiss are not as poor as poor people in some other countries,i mean with basic, common jobs you can earn enough money to live[/quote']

I know..and do't the Swiss have healthcare provisions and such? I mean, it's included it tax..but i like that system better. I don't think they do pensions anymore...we do the 401k system now..only the older people who had pensions before they started cutting back on them still have them..but prolly not for longs as they switch the system over to the 401k thing.

Nik..you can come to the states and work under me! :whip: (if ya don't mind)

:uhoh: ....no babe...it will be different then... :pimp2: :laugh2:

SUI is one of the most expensive countries, everything is so expensive,it's really hard for foreigners in the beginning (for me as well) .and the taxes... :uneasy: my luck (hopefully) that i have time to study, learn, for older people who did their education in other countries it's more difficult

   lmao!!!!!

If you are thinking of starting a business of your own..independent or not...take it to Hong Kong...no joke...it is so freaking easy to begin there..and they grow too!

You just fill out one form and you can even start it in one day!!! :stunned:

seriously! it's just that easy..and once you have a good foundation there, then you can take that money and make another one in another country..once you get things ready. I keep telling Charles we should do that because taxes are such pain here and in hong kong, the takes are a flat rate and stay the same frequently....so good business wise!

:shifty: well i should think about it...maybe

see you later Crys,i go to :snore:

I think education is really important......especially in a society which is very "simple"......I think there is more in life than to behave as the majority of the society does!

When I hopefully pass all my final exams at school next year I'll be able to go to university.......I want to study music......especially Jazz-and popularmusic....I hope everything will work because this is really hard to study!

Education, in my country!!!!!!Bullshit!!!!!!!!

IN here, we are taught everything, but nothing helps us in our life.We learn math, we learn physics, we learn chemistry, we learn history,......But the fact that we learn 4 marks, not 4 ourselves, the teachers dont care how we understand the lesson, they just care how we get many good marks and how they can get much money!!!!!!

I"m 16, but I still dont know why the hell I have to go to skul( becuz everybody in my country do that  ),I live for wat, .........Life's soooooo boring if i just like my friend...go to college , then get a job , marry and...die.......

SO I think if u have euff money to learn, so it's good, but if not, u can learn by urselves( it's even cooler).Education maybe just takes 5% of ur success.

My plan is that:I wont go to the Vietnamese college 4 sure, I 'll learn in RMIT( an Australian university but located in Vnam), doing part tim job while learning to save money, after that, go straight to US to work and enjoy my life. :)
