February 2, 200620 yr :cry: why????? after all these years, I never take the flu shot... this year... my co-workers convinced me and hoodwinked me into getting one....... how can I still get sick?? Whats the point of taking the damn thing if I can still catch the flu!!!! :angry: who else is getting or is sick??

Whats the point of taking the damn thing if I can still catch the flu!!!! :angry: who else is getting or is sick?? because there are millions of different strains of flu. they have some way of working out which one is likely to hit and vaccinate everyone for that. so when a different strain arrives you're better protected than you would have been without. and if the right strain does arrive, by the time its benn through a few million people it will have mutated so no longer resembles the vaccine. i was sick yesterday but it wasn't flu. had some stomach bug thing, which was horrid.
February 2, 200620 yr Went to school on Monday but Tuesday, Wednesday and today I am off. Better be back tomorrow. Everyone at school seems to have something. If it isn't flu then it is mumps at the moment. Urgh...
February 2, 200620 yr Hahaha I get the flu and cold's all the time, I dont let it affect me. I get it about every month, usually only for a few days. I've had a bad throat for about a week now though. I'm pretty much used to it, it doesnt even annoy me that much anymore. The only problem is not being able to kiss.

February 2, 200620 yr i got a cold... it's like the worse desease you could ever get cause it doesn't get you anything- you still have to go to school and do all the things you're obligated to do, because you're not THAT sick, still you feel like hell having to blow your nose every 5 mins, and you can't sleep at night cause you breath from your mouth and you can't take stupid nasel drops (?) cause the stuff is very addictive
