I used to have that exact Telecaster! Nice bass! Is that a Squier too?

No its an SX dont know who makes em or if its their own specific make,I bought it in my nearest music shop as a beginners bass players pack i bought the guitar and the amp for €175 so i dont know what that is in £'s probably around £130-£140.I've since bought an effects pedal for the bass too it really makes such a difference to the overall play.I bought a Zoom multi-effects unit.

No mine was cheaper because it is a Standard Precision Bass. I just wanted a real Fender and customise it like Guy's and I managed it for under £400!

OMG! It's BEAUTIFUL!

 

Not a scratch or dent on it. This is by far the BEST THING I've ever bought on eBay. I just can't stop playing it!!!

I was playing for about 2 hours yesterday. My fingers hurt....:laugh4:

 

Even today, they were buzzing.

 

I've got most of that bass book down. Just have to perfect 'Shiver'. Dang that's a hard one...:laugh4:

Ted mate the guts of what you have there is right but the notes that you have are played an octave higher in the verse.

Hmmm well I'll be honest the bones of mine were from a tab on the internet and I added a few things. I will try yours out later! Thanks! And no I don't think you are having a go! All constructive criticism is good when tabbing! :D

Well I wasn't sure what you meant by bridge exactly anyways, but those are the basic frets that Guy plays during the key shifted part of Low.

Jake listen to it again mate,the bit at the end/bridge whatever you wanna call it were Chris sings "Coz i feel Low" and the key changes to G,yes you can play it the way you said but the way it is played on the record is from the 5th fret on the D string,the way you are playing it is an octave lower,I learnt all this through trial and error but I'm sure thats how its played and i just watched the glasto vid just to make sure and Guy actually plays it from the 10th fret on the A string which is the same as playing it on the 5th fret of the D string but although its the same key is not the same as playing it on the 3rd fret of the E string because its an octave (12 frets) lower than the way Guy plays it. ;-)

 

Just have a listen to it again Jake mate and you will see what I mean.

Well then transpose what I said an octave up. ;) What I said was still G, then C, then down to A and back to G, and I'm sure that's right.

it is thats right but its just where you play the G thats whats different thats all.
