October 28, 200619 yr my uncle told me once that no matter what I did in life I'd do it well, and that I could accomplish anything because I had such a big heart and loved everyone:blush:
October 28, 200619 yr "You have hair like my level 34 elf warrior." Just kidding. I always thought that would be a funny line in a movie or something. But I dunno about any compliments.
October 28, 200619 yr "You have hair like my level 34 elf warrior." :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: That's GOLD!
October 28, 200619 yr This guy I really really liked came up to me while we were in the school gym and he told me that I have a good heart and I was simply estatic that I ran to my friend to tell her. I didn't even have time to say thanks or whatnot...I kinda stood there and then bolted... :laugh4: I was totally in love with this guy and I knew something was there...but he had to move away and you know the story...
October 28, 200619 yr My friends often say I'm smart and weird...followed by I love you :nice: thats what my friends say about me
October 28, 200619 yr I got a compliment yesterday. My parents told me that my style of play (in soccer/football, whatever) is very English. Awesome shiz. I'm actually going to go now. Because I need to go practice. D=
October 28, 200619 yr I think that the prettiest compliment I've gotten so far is "Whenever I'm listening to Coldplay from now on, I'm gonna think of you." - that makes me proud :D It's not really a compliment, but something really nice.. Another thing is that one random guy from my class, who I've never been close friends with, once told me "I know that we aren't best friends, and we don't always get along great, but let me tell you that just by the things you do, and just because of your big heart and your ability to listen to others, you're my most favourite in class"
October 28, 200619 yr Best compliment Crystal has received thus far: Boyfriend: "Your hair smells like bacon." Crystal: "Hey thanks."
October 28, 200619 yr yeah, it's just that great. hahah that wasn't the best I have received because I have been given many kind compliments and I don't value one over another because that would mean one persons compliment means less than another.
October 28, 200619 yr "It's just now, when I can see you drink your cocoa - I realise how good person you are." Whatever that's supposed to mean
October 29, 200619 yr Some one once told me i could have had a trile for Lancashire Cricket club if i'd have stuck at cricket longer:cool: , i really liked this compliment as the guy who said it had trials for them himself and i really liked cricket at the time!:)
October 29, 200619 yr This is just an uplifting thread.. let me think:thinking: Hmmm I guess the typical ones.. You are pretty blablabla etc. I never really liked that though since I have never felt pretty. I'll come back to this thread later, 'cause I can't remember really.. well actually my friend's mom told that I was like an angel.. that touched me since I feel like the satan's daugther:laugh3: and she passed away a few weeks later after she told me that :(:\
October 29, 200619 yr I was on holiday in Turkey last week and met this family. The family was like, the mother, the father, the grandmother and the 3 kids (Sophie, 13, Danielle, 12, and Ryan 8) and it was just like, a week of lying by the pool and all that. And this family was also there so we talked quite a bit. Anyways the real part of the story is that there was a Turkish night on at the resort and I sat next to that family and the kids disco came on and Ryan wanted to go up but he was the only boy out of like, 15 girls. He looked really nervous about it cause all these girls are dancing and he's shy cause he's the only guy, so I went up with him to do all the kids games. Like, Old McDonald had a farm and the hokey cokey and all that. Now, I'm a 6 ft 4 Geordie, 17 years old. Far and away the oldest , and tallest person there. I stood out. And all these random people were watching me dance like an 8 year old. After the dancing tehre was musical chairs and Ryan said to get his sisters up to play too. These girls were shy defined. So I got them to come up and played it cheating to make sure one of them won. In the end I got Sophie to 3rd place before having to let her go out. Now, that's a pretty long story, longer than I'm sure you all want to read, but it lead to the family's greatest compliment. 2 days later was time I left. They have another week there. They come home on Tuesday. As I was leaving and sayin' see ya later to them all the parents said that I was "the nicest 17 year old we've ever met" and that I'd "been like a big brother to their kids" and how they were suprised that I pretty much risked completely embarassing myself for their son to have a good time. Now, I've been given the whole "you're really good looking" compliments and all that but these things meant so much more to me. I realised a lot about myself by spending a week with new people and people who aren't necessarily in the criteria of people I surround myself with, like, there was no-one my age or anything. What I found important was that after just a week with me they felt they had seen enough evidence to say such good things about me, and that meant alot to me. Yeah... Holiday Stories :D
