They thoroughly deserved it. It's highly better quality than a most of the other albums in the top 10 there, and whereas anything Mariah Carey does always sounds like everything else she does, the guys have pulled out another album where they've experimented and tried a different direction.

 

It's things like this that remind me the world's taste in music isn't going to the dogs after all :D

by safe i mean if they had gone too far off the rails with their sound at that point they my have lost quite a following. its safer to stick to something closer to home because they are a massive band but if x&y were too daring or less conventional than what it is wouldnt have been as appreshiated or allow them to now move on and make something very different now they have done the croud pleasing thing.

 

I dont mean it to sound a bad way or that i am slaging them off in anyway...just saying what i believe

WHATS WITH all this talk about Coldplays heads getting big? Sounds very pessimistic...they're doing fine..they're having fun..and i havent seen any signs of them acting that way.

 

And i didnt even consider that this album came out right b4 the summer, that makes it even MORE amazing!!
