They did, but the players were starting to suffer from cramp which was a shame.

You should love Rooney, because to have played as well as he did up front alone for the entire match without being fully fit was an incredible feat.

And Becks came up with one of his trademark free-kicks just when it was required.

Quarter-finals here we come!:D

Wahoo!!

It was funny. I had to work today and got the bus home while the match was on. The bus stopped at stops outside many pubs...at one pub, a HUGEEEE screaming and yelling began and I knew we'd scored haha!!!!!

hi, by the way!! :nice:

Me do love Rooney and Becks, not feeling the love for Lampard though. Not Terry or Ferdinand either :\ And YAY :juggle:

But the important thing is that this time England got better as the game went on - they played much better in the second half than in the first, which was especially impressive given the heat.;)

Yeah, and comparing to the other games where the opposite has happened. So some things have improved :)

Hi Kara (:

Yeah, and comparing to the other games where the opposite has happened. So small improvments :)

Hi Kara (:

A 1-0 victory is every bit as good as a 5-0 when it comes to knockout matches!!

England are in the quarters, and they can still play much better. That's a very good sign!

Hello!

Back again from the Hurricane Festival... :nice: It was unbelievable... very hot weather, a great football match, a lot of amazing bands and finally such a heavy thunderstorm I haven't seen before... :D

Hello!

Maybe it should have been named the "Thunderstorm Festival", then!!:P

Glad to hear it was good, anyway. Where was it?

I've just got back from a run and the conditions were absolutely perfect - unlike on Saturday!:D

It was in Scheeßel near Bremen! It was an amazing weekend!

I'm so happy that I took my tent into the car at lunchtime and that I left the festival area just after Wir sind Helden! The thunderstorm was incredible! God, I was so lucky! Muse couldn't perform because of it.

Some pics...

So you could say the festival "went down a storm"!!

Did anyone play "Why does it always rain on me"??:P

Or "Riders on the Storm", perhaps?:D
