Well I think it depends on how you want to do uni life....I intend to really enjoy the city, exploring and stuff :D and working hard to get into the career I want, im pretty determined to break into what is a very competitive industry :)

I don't intend to be shitfaced every night and piss my oppertunities away.

 

And hopefullly not get into too much debt, i've learnt that from my sister!

I have no debt yet I have a qualifiation which is ranked higher than a degree in accounts. I know more than someone who has just completed a 3-year degree course in accounts :)

But personally for me, wanting to get into the media industry - documentary production more specifically, living in a city like London I will have lots of great work experience opportunities and I feel that I need to do this degree to get to a standard where I would be confident at putting myself out there.

 

Therese - the world is your Oyster! I highly reccomend a gap year, it's a great time to sort your head out and have time to think what you are going to do next....and also travel and see the world! :)

For the first time in days there was a short "weather window", so I was able to run, too. It was very humid, though.

 

Summer won't be coming back now, because autumn is here!:D

Hm, I guess it's different in Hesse. I also went to a Gymnasium and here in Lower Saxony you were graduated after the 13th class. Oberstufe here means 11th, 12th and 13th class. Is it similar in Hesse?

yes, it's the same.

Gymnasium is from grade 5 - 10

and Oberstufe 11-13.

When I went to school in Lower Saxony it was...

 

Grundschule class 1-4

Orientierungsstufe class 5-6

Gymnasium class 7-10

Oberstufe class 11-13

 

Now, they have abolished the Orientierungsstufe, so Gymnasium starts after the 4th class. Stupid dicision in my opinion and Oberstufe doesn't have a 13th class since 2006... :dozey:
