@Kara: thanks ^^

and regarding your german sentence: ROFL :laugh3: :laugh3:

I think you're better in german, than many other people here, who call themselves Germans :laugh3:

hey Sarah

hey Felix

hey Kara :nice:

let me join the par-taaaay. ^.^

hehe, your german is good, Kara. and your sentence was pretty funny

but yeah, we do have a problem with our own language. it's just that everyone's using anti social language, alter.

ja, total krass, alter, ey... :uhoh: lol

hey grace :nice:

lol very good, kara! :nice: I hate naturwissenschaften as well *g* ... what's naturwissenschaften in english ? *shrugs and walks away* ;D

Hey Grace! How's you? :)

By the way: I always wanted to ask you, if you're half-english or half-american or something like that, because of your name and your astonishingly good english... :nice:

isn't naturwissenschaften science?

::EDIT::

did you mean me, felix?

however.

alter, die deutsche sprache tut voll verkommen, ey.

und dann kam letztens so voll krass dem murat sein bruder so und hat dem einem typen sein onkel voll angekackt, mann.

*cough*

sorry...

yes, I do mean you, Grace :nice:

Hey Grace!

danke, meine Freunde?? lol!!!!!!!

Do most people in Germany speak English too? or just younger people?

yeah, naturwissenschaften is what they taught us is 'science/biology'....its so stupid, its such a long word, but one of the only words I can remember! My friend Helen remembered 'mit milch'......so we always used to say...Ich hasse naturwissenschaften, mit milch' oh god.......so stooopid!

English is going to become standard-language in industry and buisiness - so it's just a matter of time until nearly everybody in germany can speak it (more or less) fluently thanks to that globalisation ;)

ermm...nope, i'm neither half english nor half american. ^.^

i got my name because my mum loves grace kelly. hehe... and my second name is stephanie (lol, stephanie from monaco). hehe... so do you see the pattern now?

it's just probably because i started learning english at a very early age. my mum's filipino so i kinda had to communicate with others on vacation in the philippines.

plus, i do have some relatives that live in the USA and we go and visit them whenever we get the chance. so yeah, mostly because i wanna communicate with my mum's part of the family since i do not know any tagalog. ^.^

Kara, mhh... my dad's english is H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E.

erm, no, his english is beyong horrible. hehe.

so... i dunno. not even all the young kids speak english fluently.

ah, okay, Grace - I was just wondering :)

 page 900?

Yup..that is a lot of chattting!!!!

And German will then become obsolete and disappear!!:P

Ahhh, nice! I really like it when someone tries to speak German, although it's such a difficult language compared to English. :nice:

Sarah, I know what you mean. My English was very good at school, but now I can't speak it very fluidly. I'm currently not content with my language skills.

I guess and hope this will never happen. ;) Sometimes I wish we would have a "language police" like France. These English slogans in the media are getting on my nerves. I can't understand why eg. Pro7 (tv-channel) is still using "We love to entertain you" instead of "Wir lieben es Sie zu unterhalten". Well, ok this sounds stupid. :D

Because they're "progressive"??

Sarah' date=' I know what you mean. My English was very good at school, but now I can't speak it very fluidly. I'm currently not content with my language skills.[/quote']

read a nice book in english, when you have time... it really helps! ;) :)

I've always recommended that to my brother as well, but he never listened  ;D

Lars, i so get your point.

that "we love to entertain you" is not the worst thing since i think it's a nice slogan :nice:

however... did anyone ever watch a single episode of "Popstars" (not that i'd watch it...). it's just that those low-educated girlies want to sing in english, but can't even pronounce a single word properly. and they also use those "super-cool-english" terms all the time. like:"ja, zeig uns mal ein bisschen deine star quality". PA-LEASE!

I still have an English book called "The Wave" lol. It was easy to understand, but the plot of the story is just awful.

Ah, I'm bored and I don't want to watch Harry Potter on TV now. :dozey:

Hey Lars..how are you..been a while!!

Hey Rick, I'm fine, what about you?

Yeah I'm fine thanks...been doing anything interesting lately?

No, absolutely nothing! :( Just watching 2. Bundesliga summary (1.FC Cologne - 1860 Munich) but that's it! And you?
