I really think there is. although I'm not familiar with 'older singers' or older generations... for a fact rammstein are really successful all over the world. I can't deny that they're crappy but obviously there are people who have a different opinion.

yeah, kara... it's just that I don't really like how many people seem to have the opinion that german music is crappy and that's it. because I have a different opinion... sure, many germans like these shows like "deutschland sucht den superstar" (pop idol) but those "singers" are not famous for a long time, not at all.

there actually are some good bands like tomte or wir send helden. I think the problem why they don't make it international is, that people are not familiar with german music anyway. it's a different case with english...

The ones who command most respect worldwide are your DJ/producers such as Paul Van Dyk. I experienced him in Ibiza last year. Dance music is a "global language".

that's what I mean with mark "painting a sad picture of the german music culture", hehe... ;) most of the people he posted are really "out" and people no longer want to hear anything about them. you can also blame it on the media for a good deal that they once were famous...

Im not too great...got a really heavy cold, it's horrible! :sick2: Luckily I have a day off tomorrow so I can try and get better.

awww....colds suck...and they seem to never go away! hope it goes soon.

 

Im happy now, that was my last interview, I can just go back to easy college now, lol. Although next Wednesday I have to give a 20 min presentation....m CRAP at standing up in front of people :(
