Coldplay songs and your memories...

Featured Replies

PARACHUTES reminds me of my days of summer of 2001, those were wonderful times...This was my first record of all, the first one I ever bought...(the first of many...)...

A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD also brings me back good memories, like when I was shaking down to high school and stuff...

X & Y reminds me of the summer of 2005, it brings me back memories from a girl...

And all these memories come so strong whenever I listen to the songs included on Coldplay records.

How 'bout you?

Do CP songs bring you back good (or bad) memories?

Yellow def. reminds me of cold, fall nights in Oregon. And just thinking of Coldplay reminds me of the Northwest.

Daylight reminds me of going on holiday in France...driving through the mountainous motorway bit :nice:

GPASUYF reminds me of my last term in school.

Square One reminds me of last summer and lazing round in my garden after A level exams :)

Brothers and Sisters reminds me of my hol in Spain last year.

Prob got more, but those are the ones that remind me most. :)

Yellow came out right before my hubby proposed to me. After he did I knew I wanted it played at our wedding, so at the wedding I had it in the mix of dinner music. That song reminds me of my hear hubby.

X&Y reminds me of the summer,

Thats all I listened to,

and Square 1 reminds me of when I was in the drive thru of a Tim Hortons

Getting an ice cap, and some one was behind my freinds and I blaring Square 1 we all got out of the car and gave them thumbs up, and started dancing.

Coldplay in concert reminds me of the cutest date you could ever possibly think of, aww. Coldplayy 2.22.06 :-D

But yeah x&y reminds me of all of my friends, yellow reminds of all those great school dances for some reason, and clocks makes me think of a ballet or ballroom dancing!!!!(weird I know!)

Yes "Blackchickintheback" haha,

I love your name.

But yes, I knew that when I went,

That it was your birthday, and here in Michigan,

we were celebrating for you!!!

haha.

Clocks reminds me of being stuck in a whirl wind.

haha

white shadows reminds me of harry potter 6 :laugh4: coz when i was reading it i always had on x&y dunno why tought but it does :D

most songs make me think of all the potential music videos i have in my head for them!! (i want to go to film school, maybe).

yellow makes me think of stars at night and our big end-of-the-year pool party for our whole grade at my friends estate and the love i have for all of them.

all the rest of the coldplay songs, especailly the ones on PARACHUTES, remind me of farms, because i went on a road trip to rural Maine the day after seeing them in concert and i had their whole catalog of music on random for literally 24 hours of driving!!

green eyes makes me think of my best friend (who i also have a slight crush on).

if i think of any more specific ones, ill post them.

I like this color scheme thing. :laugh4:

A Rush of Blood to the Head reminds me of summer 2003 when I realized I loved Coldplay. It was the first CD I ever bought, and I listened to over and over until others got sick of it. :laugh4: Also, we played it on tape in our car on our way up to see the redwoods. :smug: I got waaay too excited when I saw my first Coldplay video, The Scientist. Fell in love with Chris. :laugh4:

Parachutes reminds me of lazy days, definitely. We alternate in between Sparks and We Never Change on rainy days. :laugh4:

X&Y... end of summer '05... my first concert ever and what a flippin great one it was. I cannot listen to Square One without thinking of the big-screen clock. White Shadows, the inverted colors of the screen. Fix You, the red lights and swinging bulb. I'll never forget it. Plus, that's the concert that eventually made me come to Coldplaying and find out tons more than I maybe wanted to know about the band :laugh4: I love it.

Whether or not the guys of Coldplay like it or not, they're a huge part of my life now! Ahhhhh, memoriessssssssss... :wacky:

PS blackchickintheback, we share a birthday! :laugh4:

My mom bought X&Y for me while I was homesick and had missed school for almost a week,I remember cos I was very excited about getting it myself as soon as it came out,but when I couldn't move out of bed I got depressedd

u have such a cool mom :D my mom is sick of coldplay .... mi bad :laugh4:

Swallowed In the Sea - My friends. We all started swaying together at our first concert in our home town.

The Scientist - My upcoming graduation. All of my friends and I decided to dedicate this song to our departing.

Yellow - The second time I've actually cried. Bliss that you could die to.

Fix You - "Tears stream...down your face" Need not an explanation.

Those are some good graduation songs... I'm trying to make a list of them to present next year. :D

You bastard. Do you enjoy making me reminisce about old days and have a few tears come down my face, only to have me deny every crying at school the next day?

That's right. I called you a bastard. But a loveable bastard.

All mine are basically the same as his, by the way. Except "Yellow". Didn't cry at "Yellow".

What I have cried to, believe it or not, is Warning Sign. Once. And only once.

OH and I cried to the Scientist. But that's like a weekly thing now. :)

X&Y reminds me summer of 2005 I was having a great time in Seattle
