the newest episode was amazing.

i expected it to be a bit crap after that great school episode, but it wasn't. in fact, it lived up to the fourth season's high standards.

it gave us a good insight into what the relationship between dean and sam is like now and how both of them (sam in particular) have changed. and i loved the fact that dean pointed out that it's not the psycho/demon blood thing that changed sam, it's the little things. it's a change that sam himself is responsible for.

unfortunately, he isn't innocent little sam anymore (man, i miss that character trait).

the episodes keep changing the dynamic. in "after school special" i felt quite sorry for sam because he will never be just an ordinary kid...erm... man. and although it wasn't him that got posessed first, i thought he was total dick in "sex and violence" ... .

Yeah, I agree. Sam is caught between being the innocent one who justs wants to get out of the buisness, while at the same time he wants to get rid of Lillith. He has changed while Dean is still his wild self who never had a childhood because he had to take care of Sam while Daddy went hunting. Dean does not know anything but hunting while Sam knows there is something other than hunting.

It quite clearly was, the extended usage of gifs of the main characters on the internet backs this up. That it isn't critically acclaimed? It's not. That it's not a classic? It certainly isn't.

Guys, it's just a damn TV show. Everyone has an opinion about the show, and we all know that opinions are not facts. Some may like the show and others may not, but the important thing is that no one is wrong because it's just an opinion.

 

Is the show a classic? No. I don't think any TV show is a classic except the shows from my parents' generation such as Bonanza or MASH. Is it an entertaining show? IMO, yes it is. It's the closest thing I can watch that is a scary. LOL!!!

 

So, can we get back to talking about the show? I think it will be two weeks before a new episode airs which sucks because the past three episodes were good. Now they are leaving us hanging by not showing a new episode this week and that blows. :laugh3: I hate it when shows do that. You're dying to find out what's going to happen next only to find out that you have to wait a few weeks.
