Don't ever listen to what other people say. They usually don't know what they're talking about. LMFAO!

I stood in front of him for about 20 minutes outside the Boston Garden, I watched him interact with the fans. He asked everyone their names, asked them where they were from, told them to have a great time, took pictures, hugged on demand. It was truly amazing, definately not what I expected from one of the world's hugest rock stars. In December I was waiting outside the Garden again, hoping to meet them again, but they came late and the cars were just driving by. Bono made the driver slow down and he yelled out at us (but really yelled right in my ear since he stuck his head out next to mine) that they were so sorry, but they had to do soundcheck to give us a great show.

:nice: The guys in U2 are sweet hearts, and anyone who goes by something they read in the paper to judge them is quite mistaken!!!!

Phew *wipes brow* Sorry, defending my guys is a hobby of mine. LOL!!!

somehow I misread that as "defending my hubby" :laugh3:  that sounds pretty cool of the guys. I never doubted they were cool, I just thought maybe they were stuck up but I think I was wrong.

lmfao you know, if I were them I think I'd be stuck up. I expected them to be. I like being proved wrong. ;)

LMFAO! Defending my hubby. I wish.................. :uhoh:

lmfao, I read a funny quote about MySpace the other day. Someone said that it's like collecting baseball cards online, just instead of baseball players they're "friends" LMFAO!

I don't know who would argue with me about this... But Fall Out Boy is INCREDIBLY overrated. *shakes head*

I couldn't. agree. more.

green day and nirvana ... so overrated. ... they're not even close to being good musicians

Nirvana? My god, I can't breathe! Kurt Cobain is a LEGEND. But hey, whatever you think...

Um, I'd say most all rap music. This would include anything that P. Diddy (or whatever his name is today) is associated with, any person with a number or letter for a name (50-cent, Master P, Ice-T, etc.), and anyone who can't appear in public without a "posse".

And also soccer.

Kurt Cobain is not a legend. He is extremely.......extremely over-rated.

I am sad for you.

The Artic Monkeys are the most overated band in the world!

I am sad for you.

And I am sad for you. Someday you'll understand.

How original of you to repeat exactly what I said.

Shows your true absence of intelligence.

I think your lack of intelligence was well and truly shown when you stated that 'Kurt Cobain is a legend'. Peace.

agreed

Glad someone knows what they are talking about because everyone where i live has jumped on the artic monkeys band wagon and it's all people talk about now.

Sure. That looks a lot dumber than making tons of stupid threads. Especially 2 asking whether you should stick around or not. Who cares, dude?

I care! You're just pissed cause I don't lke your precious Kurt! Get over it......opinions differ!

I think Kurt Cobain is overrated. I don't like to say my opinion on certain bands, because I don't want people to turn it back around on me (which is ALL too easy). But I really hate Nirvana's music (and yes I have tried listening to them, yes). Why is he considered a "hero"? Because he was deeply disturbed and shot himself? Shot himself when he had a beautiful daughter. Shot himself and destroyed not only his own life, but left his equally disturbed wife to "raise" their daughter alone.

Suicide is not something I am belittling. I'd be the LAST person to do that. But I'm all for people making their lives worthwhile.

Now, see, I love Jim Morrison. He probably killed himself. Is he a hero? No. He is not a hero. He destroyed himself. Was he brilliant? Yes. Is he a legend? Time has shown he is. I don't know if this is because of his death, I hope not. But I see the same thing has happened with Kurt Cobain. People glorify suicide like it was a noble thing to do. No. It's not. Death a legend makes not. Brilliance, it does. And in my humble opinion, Nirvana was far from brilliant.

Agree with everything said here. Jim Morrison...now there's a legend. Kurt...no.

If Michael Stipe had have killed himself(thank God he didn't) after the release of AFTP, people would have been shouting about how he was the greatest ever and completely going over the top. In reality, REM went on to release Reveal, Around the sun(possibly their 2 worst), and now his rep has gone down a lot.

IMO, even if Kurt was still alive, Nirvana wouldn't be. There wouldn't be so much fuss and he wouldn't be so over-rated. Again though....down to opinion.

Pissed? I'm laughing at you, not pissed. He's not my precious Kurt. I just think he's one of the greatest musicians of my lifetime. I don't get pissed that people have a different opinion than me. It would also be incredibly stupid of me to get pissed over someone's opinion on an internet message board.

I'm making these statements to you because I think you are very childish...and not because you don't like Kurt.

He did not committ suicide. That's what they want you to think.

Oh right, Courtney killed him.

I also agree that Jim Morrison is a legend.

Michael Stipe, um no.
