Anyone heard of them?

 

I saw them live on Jools Holland last week, and really liked their sound.

So I picked up the album today and it's pretty good. It's just so different, and Matisyahu himself pretty much breaks all stereotypes...a real breath of fresh air.

 

I highly recommend downloading the songs 'Youth' or 'King Without A Crown' if you want a listen.

I listened to part of the album and can't say I really cared for the style.

the Live @ Stubbs album is waaaaaaaay better than the studio version... I like him though..

I saw them on Jools Holland as well Steph. I was watching for Ashcroft and for Rodrigo and Gabriela and then this guy came on. Have to say it really didn't do it for me! Just my taste I guess...

did anyone see him at coachella? i was addicted to him before coachella. but when i was there, he just was mediocre at best, and i wish that he didn't pray so much on stage. sing bitch, sing...i mean, that's what he was there for right?

i just think it's hillarious, watching a relegious jew rap and stuff :lol:

 

my brother once was guarding at a religious concert (jewish- i live in israel...) and there where all sorts of rabis rocking and singing:

i loved the first single, sadly i got to know about the new album that late now, i could not vote for that one on the albums of the year :(

 

i really liked the album, thought i found it a lot different than Youth (his previous album), a lot more peaceful.
