Finally, for the first time in a long while, I've thought of a topic we havent ever discussed before! And here it is.

 

Paedophiles are probably the most outcasted members of society. I'm sure that most people would forgive a muderer over a paedophile.

 

Whenever people talk about how sick and disgusting they are, its pretty much the general feeling that either they should be locked up forever, stoned publicly, hanged, beheaded, etc.

 

People really take offense to it like nothing else, and once a sex offender is convicted, they are never truely forgiven by anyone. It is a little bit strange, no?

 

Its undoubtedly a very sick act, but so is cannibalism. For me personally, paedophilia is still worse, but they are both the acts of insane people. The difference is that one of them is treated as solely a criminal, the latter is a mentally insane person commiting a crime. In truth, to me, both types are insane and needs help.

 

Sex offenders dont get rehabilitated, they get outcasted until they basically split away from society. Theyre old habits still exist, they simply dont have the opportunities anymore, and therefore nothings changed.

Its a mental illness that should be treated in that manner.

It is a mental illness yes, but I cannot tolerate someone who gets their kicks by looking at pics of children, it disgusts me immensely in a way that cannibalism never could!

 

Oh I read an article about people who used to engage in cannibalism as a way to show respect for the dead. Like if someones family member died, they would get close friends and relatives to EAT some of the deceased's body and anyone who refuses would be insulting the bereaved family. Crazy huh? Anyway that was totally off the point.

no they're not. You can't be put away just for thinking about it, unless they actually abuse children they won't be put away for anything, in fact the government would prefer them to do that then go and abuse a child. What a ridiculously stupid and unfounded statement

Maybe I'm wrong, but in my opinion child molesters cannot be forgiven, they're the scum of society and the commit the worst crime possible, messing with children unable to stand up for themselves and screwing their lives pretty much for good. A kid that's molested ALWAYS ends up taking the blame for it, and feeling like they've done something wrong.

I might sound tough, but seriously, I would castrate them physically and chemically for them to suffer as much pain as they caused.

I always thought pedophilia was worse than murder and basically the worst crime there is. murder lasts an instant and makes people really sad but pedophilia can ruin someones lifetime. it's really disguisting. by the way it's "pedophile" *

I have to disagree with this. unless by insane you mean extremely perverted. There's nothing really wrong with their head. they can't control their desire maybe, but it's not because they're stupid. it's because they choose to live that way and choose to want it because it appeals to them.

I agree Paedophilia can badly affect the victim for the rest of his/her life, but so can murder, rape, assault, robbery....any crime really. Obviously because young childrean are involved its much more shocking, but people are affected by all crime for the rest of their lives, it affedts their confidence in the world, the people in it and how safe it is

murder does, but we don't really see it... It's hard to say which is worse, murder or pedophilia imo because it takes a lot of evil to do either one of those. but I still believe that losing money or even losing your life isn't as bad as losing your virginity to a sick person. and it would take a heartless person to rape or be a pedophile. but rage can make someone murder who may not neccessarily be crooked.

Yeah research has shown that a lot of cases of paedophilia has been due to ostracisation at school, and sometimes even abuse from parents. If a bloke's grown up with his dad abusing his sister, he's probably going to think that's the right thing to do
