I actually just meant maybe there's a similaity between the two mad-boy-genius-piano players...lol...

Chris=piano God and i play piano like a God

And so humble too. You, me, Chris and Wolfgang...sounds like a hell of a band...so maybe that's what we'd do if our favorite band didn't exist...hahaha!

wolfgang? you mean Mozart?

to be honest...i would never know that band then and they wouldn't become my fave band lol, but thinking about this making me shivering

if there's no Radiohead, i'm pretty sure Coldplay wouldn't exist...but thinking that what if there was no Radiohead is awful...

Well...if my favourite band didn't exist I wouldn't be interested in music because I wouldn't have a favourite band:confused:

But if I knew this favourite band and it suddenly wouldn't exist anymore....and all the music by this band would disappear suddenly....this would be awful...but I would have to live wiht it and search for other good bands...

To be honest, if there wasn't any Coldplay anymore I wouldn't care as much as I would've a year or so ago. *ducks*

But then again I wasn't blown away by X&Y so maybe it'll change if they bring out something mega next time around.

Now if Mr Adams left me I'd be gutted :wreck:

There is something true in that......since x&y I was a bit disappointed too.....since some weeks I prefer radiohead to them....but maybe it will change...with the next album for example...

it was excellent for some U2 fans...

^ explains a lot

Just need to get Mr Martin depressed again. :p

maybe that's why I don't like it because I don't really like U2...haha...

U2 are overrated...they became such a pop band.

their duet with Mary J Blige was a failure of their music

I don't mind U2.

But that Mary J Blige song is awful

i hate that song 2. is it called one?

Heheh.....well I like "One" but the original song is much better....

maybe it is also because Bono is not a likeable person for me...

yes

i think the original "One" is a good song, but this duet was wasteful

She tries to steal it with all her wobbly voice gymnastics

What would you do if your Favourite band didn't exist (eg: COLDPLAY)?

...

Suicide would be understandable...

A serious question warrants a serious answer. But yes, I might not be here if Coldplay didn't exist...

Other bands might make better music and one of them (e.g. Radiohead easily) could even become my 'favourite' or top-rated band, but nothing can or ever will replace Coldplay. This band quite literally saved my life. Their music gave me something to hold on to at a time nothing else could.

So maybe for some, if their favourite band didn't exist, they might quite conceivably latch on to some other similar band, it wouldn't be true in my case. There was nothing else that sounded like Parachutes back in 2001 (and I have yet to find anything else that embodies all the things it meant to me then). If I didn't hear Parachutes back when I did (heck, I didn't even like Yellow :laugh3: ), goodness knows whether I'd be around long enough for another band to come along and take their place.

Suicide, would be understandable. What a thought.

if my favourite band didn't exist...hmmm...well then I'd have a different favourite band....

if you don't have "X" you'll always have "Y"... :D

if coldplay didn't exist then i would've never known what good music is like ... mhh ...

then i'd still be listening to the stuff i listened to before i discovered the beauty of coldplay's songs

if my fav band didn't exist......hmm...i wouldn't really listen to good music

I guess I'd be a big fan of another band...
