I have a Word Doc template to fill in and a list of instructions I can post if anyone is interested in a score predictor league, just for fun like?

Guidance:

 

Points are scored as follows:-

20pts for you predicting the correct score (eg) Germany 2 Cost Rica 0

(game finished 2-0, 20pts awarded),

10pts if you predict the correct result (eg) Germany 2 Costa Rica 1

(predicted correct winners so get 10pts),

10pts for each group position correctly predicted and a bonus 10pts if

you get all 4 places correct (i.e. max 50pts per group)

20pts for each quarter-final team correctly predicted and a bonus 50pts for all 8 correct (yeah right!)

30pts for each semi-final team correctly predicted and a bonus 70pts for all 4 correct (even more yeah right... remember Greece!)

100pts for predicting the Tournament winners.

 

Me or one of the moderators will lock this thread on the deadline so nobody can change their scores once the games start... don't want any edit-cheating now folks :laugh3: (feel free to copy the whole thread so mods/admin don't cheat either :P ) Then a new thread for discussion can be created. I did one of these with my mate back when the draw for the world cup was made, they are currently on pieces of paper (which we photocopied) and at the end of the tournement and when he comes back from austrilia, we will compare results and the winner gets a free drink.

 

It is a good idea, but with any prediction games it is very hard to keep track of everybody's scores unless you use an excel spreadsheet.
