Your Recordings

Featured Replies

This has been attempted a few times in the Instrument Room, but to no avail due to lack of population, so.....lets stick one here!

I (and I'm sure a lot of other people here) would love to hear your recordings of you doing whatever..... within reason....ie. musical.

Singing, guitaring, pianoing, ondes martenoting etc...

Your own material, covers, random riffing etc....

I would suggest using a site such as www.dmusic.com as it allows others to listen without having to actually download the music. Just sign up, it's free and upload your songs. (You'll get a lot more coverage, trust me.) But if you have to, use rapidshare or whatnot.

Here's Mine: http://rundle.dmusic.com/ (It's bad but what are you gonna do.)

C'mon everybody, support this, should be good fun and, as I said, it would be awesome to hear the showcase of talent that I'm sure is evident in this little community of ours.

P.S. Yes, I did had to say ondes martenoting.

Oh, and I will try to get some stuff recorded soon, but no promises.

ondes martenoting

nice one Sam

though i don't think anyone plays on Ondes here, me either

Haha, you never know.

EDIT: I knew I had an old picture of myself playing one somewhere:

actually once i had a big luck to be a part of a wonderful, 3 hours long Ondes Martenot gig. god, it was amazing. we were like 150 people in the crowd (after some minutes this number reduced to 1) at the beginning in one big hall and everyone was excited to hear this wonderful concert. at around 0 hour 9 minutes i stayed alone (the rest of the crowd disappeared suddenly....hmmm, fooking filler fans) and enjoyed the beatiful Ondes for 3 hours long. still looking for recording of that unforgettable experience.

Ondes Martenot

Wow!! you are so lucky, I don't even know what it sounds like to tell you the truth. Where was it? I doubt it was in a stadium, was it at a festival or something?

actually i joked i never was at an Ondes gig and will never be, Ondes sounds terrible alone. but mixing it with guitars, piano, drums etc. is goddamn beatiful

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm an idiot.

Anyway, just to show what I mean by this thread I just recorded these two songs right now, right here in front of my computer in this uncomfortable chair with arms that make it difficult to play guitar and the ummm... distractions of ummm..... the computers gentle hum.... (if you haven't already guessed I am trying to think up as many excuses as I can for poor quality.)

Just click the little green button that says hi-fi stream to hear the songs (or lo-fi if you're into that kinda thing.)

These are not serious recordings, I screw up a lot especially in the second one, this is just to show examples of what I mean by this thread..... yes......that'll do.

Oh and I apolagise for poor quality, they are recorded by my mp3 player.

Bye bye Nik. :wink2:

Oh and I am going to remove that second one very soon because listening to it now it sounds terrible. So get it now and you can sell this ultra-rare edition for hundreds of dollars in the future.

  • Author

OK, I removed the second song and I will soon record some more stuff, but I wanna see more people showing us their stuff, it'll be great.

i haven't heard the original Jack Johnson song but it sounds promising, but i think still it's unfinished. i hear some unsure, confusing sounds, but actually you play well, i liked it overally.

  • Author

Yeah, as I said, just as an example, that's definitely not the finished song. And I think it sounds sorta empty without singing. That's my main problem, I can't sing for shit so I restrict myself from playing certain songs.

I'm not sure what I should do next. I'll stick to acoustic for the time being.

Alright, name a band and I'll record a song by them.
