i honestly didn't think he will play at this WC some weeks ago...another question if he can help England today...

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Great to see Rooney back, but it was Lennon who made the difference!!

yes 2 - 0.....with a class goal from the one and only steven gerrard

and crouch...who tried so many times :laugh4:

Yes - Owen has been very disappointing so far. Rooney and Lennon should start against Sweden.

yea i was surprised...lennon is pretty damn good....he has a great pace to deal with it

Every time he attacked the T&T defence they couldn't handle him. He could become England's key player in this tournament.

:smug: yes.....ahh i love the world cup :laugh4: it gets you in keeno mode

Keeno??

:laugh4: basically very hyped up...and raring to go....

England was not well before Rooney back, for one minute I thought England would lose the match. England let down a little in this match, anyway they won.

they had many many chances.....they played good to me..but of course we all expected much more..but the two goals showed what they can do....and once the substitutions was made..they pulled it together

Rooney and Lennon were awesome!!! very glad they got put into the game :)

didn't get to see the infamous crouch dance though :( after all those friggin attempts he finally put one in!

I was so excited when Rooney went in! I was all dancing and cheering at my tv.

And yeah, Crouch FINALLY got one in after an amazing pass by Becks. No robo-dance though. :(

I was waiting for the robo-dance too :(

Same here! i was like crazy literally when Rooney had signs of going on, and you could just here the stadium chorus out with 'Rooney' it was exciting. But yet again Gerrard = class

oooh, I love the English team:dance: though they didn't play that well after all...

I think Rooney and Lennon improved the spirit of the game but Rooney wasn't THAT great. I was sooooo excited when they showed Rooney warming up several times before he went in and when it finally happened I was so happy for him, that must've been a great moment for him after all the speculations about whether he could play or not.

Let's hope Rooney is soon fit enough to play the whole game, but let's not forget that Rooney alone can't bring the team into the victory.. It's about ALL of them, not just one great player.
