I absolutely love the Beatles, in fact I am listening to 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' right now. But there are certain bands I don't discuss, for no particular reason. Probably because I know that that thread will die.

 

Case in point: Foo Fighters are one of my favourite bands but I never discuss them because bumping their thread would be a pretty big waste of time. I don't care about not discussing it, I can keep certain bands to myself and if I really want to I will join a forum concerning that particualr band.

 

I wonder if there are more people thinking in that way and really there are a bunch of people who are going to post in a band's thread only if someone else does.

 

 

I think I'm gonna end up voting Beatles and U2 for this one.

 

Radiohead vs Beatles would be extremely hard if they were evenly matched but I know that Radiohead will win easily anyway so that just makes it easier for me. I sorta think of Radiohead as a modern-day Beatles. The Beatles influenced a generation and so have Radiohead. Radiohead really don't get the credit they deserve. Maybe everyone will realise how great they were in 20 years.

 

U2, because as Nik said, they are really one of the only good bands of the 80's. (Such a bad period for music :sick:). Although I do sorta respect their new stuff as well. Muse has never done anything for me. Maybe that will change in the future.

i think the final will be rather interesteng too considered that most of the U2 voters are also The Beatles voters (that's what i think). Now those people will have to make a choice.

i'd be really surprised if the Beatles vs U2 match-up wouldn't be an easy one for Beatles...
