What' date=' like internal documents which show they knew......people have actually won cases against them.[/quote']

Ok, but everyone agree's they all were in the wrong on what happened. no need for me to present evidence of that.

I was referring to the evidence of you calling me a racist... and you still haven't acknowledged the fact that the govt. knew about this.. and allowed it to happen.

The amount of people who took the "factor 8" Bayer drug which was laced with HIV and other deadly diseases and DIED ranges from 200,000 up to 1,000,000.....I'll have more info on this story later I think.

The New York Times said it was practically impossible to determine how many hemophiliacs in Latin America and Asia were affected by the company's sale of Factor VIII concentrate after February 1984 when the new product came out.

Ā

However, in Hong Kong and Taiwan alone, more than 100 hemophiliacs were infected with the HIV virus after using Factor VIII, and many since have died, according to records and interviews obtained by the paper.

Ā

Cutter also continued to sell the older product after February 1984 in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan and Argentina, the daily alleged….

Ā

The Cutter documents were produced in connection with lawsuits filed by American hemophiliacs, which had gone largely unnoticed until the daily said it began asking about them.

Ā

In the United States, according to the Times, thousands of hemophiliacs were infected with AIDS from contaminated blood-clotting medicine.

BBC 1 in the UK now......Panorama is about infected blood, Factor 8 product.

Ā

I doubt they will have the balls to talk about Bayer being caught red handed selling HIV infected blood products in the US and then in Europe and Japan.

Ā

They will probably just talk about individuals but we'll see.

Can words describe how infuriating this is? Our government is so adept at pissing everyone off, including its own citizens. D: I can't believe they'd let something like this happen.

IMO, they shouldn't have let the medicine out ANYWAY. They should've disposed of it instead of tossing it to other officials. Yes, the other governments were in the wrong for not stopping it for their own people, but I feel the medicine should have been thrown away instead of given to other countries.

Ā

But that's just my opinion.

They shouldnt have, and they are partly to blame, but who should take most of the blame is Bayer and the Governments that allowed their people to take it. NOt just bash America.

Theres something about this in a book i read - Medical blunders - it mentions something about contaminated blood from the '80s - haemophilliacs and factor 8 and 10. I shall see if i can dig out

I choose to bash America because they are the big bully here.. who isn't going to follow the US's lead in decisions like these..... they're the powerhouse.... so, yeah... I blame the US for this one.... other countries should take responsiblity as well... but, they aren't my govts. :smug:
