Akward Name?

Featured Replies

Oh! My whole name has 19 letters. Or not my whole name but my first and surname. But i don't really mind.. its pretty normal here to have a long surname :uhoh:

Russian and Polish surnames are really really long! And some Germany surnames too as far as i know!

Uh stop talking like that, Crystal, when you say so it seems lie a real problem, heh. I should leave this thread now :uhoh2:

My full name is actually six names.

Mine, then my dad's, then my grandfather etc until my surname (family name)

NOPE! But that is really wierd..I never thought there was another Julieta out there.

You never lived in Texas did you?

OMG !! it was me !! :p uh ..... nop

I like tha name julieta.. it sounds great.. I don't know someone called julieta but I like the name :)

Thanks

Thanks , but its weard coz when people say it on english i feel odd haha

But that name' date=' in Spanish means ' Christ '[/quote']

I thought it mean "cristal"...

Yes, my name is a bit odd at least here. I only know another Iris.

Anyway, when I was a child I didn't like to have a different name than the usual ones, 'cos I didn't want to stand out, but now I only see its advantages. I think it's much better to have an awkward name! ;)

I don't even know why my parents gave me this name...and spelled it the English way too..

My brother: Raúl ..named after my father

My sister: Denise ..weird name...I think its actually French? :freak:

and litte brother: Abel..a biblical name...

Crystal...its fine in English...but when I go to Mexico...my relatives just call me the 'Christ' name 'Cristo' ...because Crystal they cannot pronounce the English way..

so akward! Christ!!!! how are ya?! hehe its kinda funny and kinda not.

My name is Crystal.

In Spanish, my family calls me 'Cristo'

But that name, in Spanish means ' Christ '

So I could be out in public, and my family will yell out: Cristooooooo!

And people who understand Spanish (alot, it's Texas)

will give me akward looks and be all like, " Did they just call her Christ!? "

akward at its prime.

Is your name akward? would you change it? what would it be?

my name is the EPITOME of akward names, trust me. most people who meet me think my name is 'psycho' or 'saiga' or some other variation. and don't even get me started on how many different ways you can spell it either, lol. and my mom has a little pet name for me, she says my name like...er...damn, how do i write this- saiqooooooo. yeah. my friends always give me shtick about it, but whatever. i have an awesome name, what can i say. :P

it must be odd to call you 'Cristo' 'cos it sounds like a boy's name.

Definitely the name's your parents choose were a bit awkward, but I'm sure they did it 'cos they wanted you to have a different one, that their kids were different (at least in their names) :D

My name is the defintion of akward....for anyone outside Ireland.

Séamus...:dozey:

sorta..there are lots of Crystals here in the states..but not many in Mexico..well the parts I vist.

I think they did want a unique name for me..and they chose well...because origionally, my parents wanted me to grow up there in Mexico. But we moved after a some time there.

and yes, Cristo is like a guys name...'Cristobal' is something people think my name is when they hear my family call me 'Cristo' but Cristobal is a guy name

Some people like to call me crys/Chris...at first I dunno how I felt about that..but now, I wouldn't mind. It's kinda cool. Turning that into a unisex name.. hmm Chris

EDIT

SHAYMUSSSSS so awesome... shaymus Séamus :nice:

well, you're the first Crystal I know, here in Spain I think nobody is called like you!

oh, but Chris can be also confused with Christine, perhaps! Anyway, what matters is that you like it! :)

my name is liliana but almost all my friends call me lili...the only problem with lili is that there is a snob old woman called lili here in portugal who is famous just because of her peelings!...so when i was younger i was teased a lot, but now i'm just not bothered at all...you eventually get used to it and it also depends on how people say it
