do u read? regularly?

once i used to read alot more, and so did the ppl around me, and as time goes by less and less ppl read especially when so many movies are released that are based on books, so ppl dont bother reading the books...

I've always hated reading books 'n stuff.

I think I've only read 2 books or something in my lifetime just for fun.

Ever since I was in first or second grade, I absolutely hated it.

When I was a little kid I'd read really slow, and all the other kids around me would read fast and I'd always get bad grades in reading. While other kids were really reading fast and not getting the full story 'n such, I was taking it slow and understanding everything, but I kept screwing up my reading grade since I wasn't reading enough books, haha.

When we'd take the tests to assess what kind of books I should be reading, I'd always be expected to read books for kids years older than me since my comprehension was crazy good, but I never wanted to. Supposedly, my reading comprehension was high enough for me to be reading college level books in the 6th grade. I don't think I've gotten much smarter since then.

Anyway, I still hate reading. When I tell people that I hate reading, they're sometimes taken aback since I'm pretty well-rounded and all. Ah well.

Enough with the ranting.

I've gotta be awake in 3 hours and I'm writing all this crap--what the hell is wrong with me?

^How can you hate reading?! It isn't possible, read a good book, something to change your mind, I hate to see anyone who doesn't like reading. :\

I've never looked back since I brought the Mr Men collection

I read car magazines, some books, but not much...otherwise, I don't really read books!

I do read...not a LOT - but, as I'm a "slow-reader",I read one book 300ish pgs in a couple of weeks.

Otherwise...there's always something I'm currently reading.

I read, but a bit slowly.

I try to read something before going to sleep, either a magazine or another chapter of a book

I read' date=' but a bit slowly.[/quote']

So there are more of us :D !

I do read a lot, but i usually do it during hollidays, otherwise i'd leave my studies behind... Last book i read was "2nd chance", a James Patterson's book. I don't think it's common for someone of my age to read that sort of books but i've read it in four days non-stop anyway.

Another saga i love is Harry Potter books! Yeah, maybe some of you might say it's horrible and you want JK to die ;) , but i just hope she doesn´t die before finishing her seventh book...:P

I suppose i read quite fast: I read the sixth book of HP in three days...

Darn! When I saw this thread I thought it was about the Reading Music Festival...lol! But yes. I'm an avid reader. Mostly books on music, criminology and Robin Cook's Medical Murder Mysteries.

I don't read books, I devour them!! I read whenever I can, which is alot of the time, and tend to split any spare time between reading/cross stitch/knitting.

I can't afford to keep up with my reading addiction and have to borrow loads of books. And every so often, I have to go through my bookcases and find some to sell. Which I hate doing because you can't have too many books.

I used to be a voracious reader. I kinda burned myself out on Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time books, though. I even used to forget to eat when I was reading those. Will they ever end?

I mainly read the newspaper and magazines these days.

I used to read a lot more than I do now.

Even if I do read, often I don't finish the book or don't like it from the start. Maybe I'm being too picky or I'm just picking out the worst books to read. Either way, I tend to read magazines more now. It's informative, has fiction and fact, illustrations, photos, etc. Hmm I guess I'm just more of a visually-stimulated type.

Wow, I'm really the only person here that dislikes reading.

wow, im pretty surprised by the results, i thought most ppl would say no

most of the ppl i know dont read.

well, it probably also depends on your age, i think that 18 year olds like to bother themselves with other thoughts

alyssa, dont worry, im with u ;)

i only like harry potter...

I think people generally grow out of their dislike for reading. I used to hate reading (apart from magazines) when i was younger. Now i love reading a good novel.

Reading is good for us. Helps expand our vocabularies as well as developing imagination.

I always, seriously always, need to have something to read. I love reading books and I have read since I can remember.

What can I say?

*book wh0re*

:laugh3:

I love reading :wacky:

me too! but when i have classes i have to read books for school so i'm forced to leave behind the ones i'm reading just for fun...i love reading since i was a child, i guess is because my mother had this habit of reading me a story before i fell asleep :embarassed:

anyway, the feeling of being addicted to a book (always thinking what's going to happen next) is amazing!

I rarely read. I enjoy it, but I just feel like I have no time or I get tired. LOL. Any suggestions on a good book. :D

I love reading

That's like a good movie, but even better 'cause your fantasy can work a bit =)

My problem is that I always read the books I shouldn't read, I mean, I have a school program which includes so many Russian classics... And I just sit and read William Faulkner which's so out of the list :disappointed:

I read a lot (whenever I can). Really, i think I could not live without books. :D

Because i read, there is no TV time for me. hehe :D

I hate Tv.

i like to read...but sometimes i just hate it, only during the summer i get to read novels coz during school times i have to read bloody school books
