green eyes88 i used to think the same thing until my sis had to do some vocal assignment and she had me do the drumbeat and some keyboad sounds of COB "in your face", while she did the guitar part. It was so layered it was confusing finding the seperate insturment sounds- they melded so well together.

i agree with alyssa it takes talent.

i found this interview on tool apparently they don't usually do interviews.

Yeah, 70's: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC.....

 

I don't consider sub-genres below-standard, because they aren't. There are just so many!

 

And you're right, Nirvana are grunge (definitely not metal.)
