OKAY HERE YOU ARE (just the first night for now, sorryyyyy)

 

okay this is REEEALLY long so I'm putting it in the spoiler and the people who are not interested don't have to read it and don't have to complain about the longness of it, it's just for the people who wished for it (and myself so I can later come back to it) something also might be at totally wrong places, because I can't remember exactly how things happened, but it's something to this direction ;)

 

 

 

SO! Mew huh? I hope you're not sick of my stories yet because you know..this is gonna be long! :lol: so..yeah so we had two nights, first at Helsinki and second at Tampere which are like two hours from each other.

 

So we went to the first concert at around 4pm to queue and it was seriously so freaking freezing out there! Like in half an hour I was already COMPLETELY frozen you know! :P aaand we got in at around 7pm through the first doors, eft our jackets and stuff in the hangers and ran upstrairs and we had to queue for another 40 minutes..so we got to second row with Anna and a really good spot because the people infront of us were so short so we could see perfectly! And like seriously I was totally shocked of how TINY the venue really was! It was so small and crazy awesome! It was like tha size of our house or somehing so it was really small seriously :P The supporting band was TaxiTaxi! And they were really good! Two sisters and one cute guy! :P aaand then at 9pm Mew took the stage by starting out strongly with Snow Brigade!

Okay first of all I would like to say that all the songs were absolutely amazing! Their stage presence is unbelievable and even though they don't do much, it's till so..captivating! Especially Jonas, he is so focused that you could just look at him for hours! And Bo is amazing, he jams around with his guitar and fools around and talks a lot! And Silas! He is just too cute and his faces are irraplaceable when he is drumming and he looks like a little kid in his white collar shirt and bow tie :blush:

I thought that Snow Brigade was a great song to open the night with, although at that point it just came as such a shock (that they started not that they played SB) that I can't remember much of the song :P Okay I really can, it was amazing singin along to it and you know the Finns LOVE SB, so everyone was extremely exited about that! And the people around us were really into the band so it was nice to have people jump around with and not just dance all by yourself. Next up was Hawaii (or on the setlist: Hawaaiiiii :awesome: ) and it was so perfectly beautiful! I loved singing ”the world is like youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu” etc, and dancing to the beat and watching Jonas play that clungy thing! :D it was one of the best party songs along with Beach and Tricks! Reminded me of Kar and Em and I think I called them during that song too? Because I know how much they love it! It was really great to dance to it and sing along again. Shelter is a bit of a blur to me, I remember watching Jonas all the time and Bo coming infront of us (we were on Silas' side) and I got to touch his hand a bit too when he was giving it out during this one or Swanky, so that was pretty awesome! He is really really handsome you know! He had a little mustache, a black suit and black converses and a perfect hair do so he looked absolutely ace!! Anyways, I absolutely loooved Swanky! It was..perfect! Though I like the red version of it more, but live this was much better! This song is really so much better live than on album I think! IPP and Silas were just so great! I remember singing on top of my voice, jumping up and down, throwing my hair around and just watching the guys and how much they were really enjoying it! They seemed to be having SO MUCH fun you know! APOCALYPSO! WHAT ARE YOUR STORIES ALL ABOUT It was so so so so so POWERFUL and just all around AMAZING! Probably my second favourite from the first night (after Special). The whole song was just..one huge fest of epicness! I had waited for that for a really long time too because I KNEW it would be amazing live, so when I heard the first note I went absolutely NUTS :freak: Next up was Saviours Of Jazz Ballet! That was incredible! Pumping your fist to the rythm of Silas' drums and singing HEY FOLKSSSS out loud felt so incredible, it was like..the fans were so into that song it felt like we were singing it together with Jonas as a choir and not as an audience! The lights were amazing on this one too! BAMSE! First I was like creeped out by it, but then I realized that it was so beautiful! Like the message in it is so great. I loved it when Jonas went next to the screen and like ”pulled” the bear out of the screen as it came visible..also the fact that when the bear was talking, Jonas was so focused and looking at it. I loved it that all the guys were singing (bass and keyboards you know) and the song part of Bamse was just so incredibly beautiful and touching! Next up...one of my absolute favourites from No More Stories..BEACH! It was absolutely A M A Z I N G ! It was so bouncy and happy and danceable and just like..the lyrics are so much fun to sing along to you know! I remember at this point during Beach I could see Jonas moving a bit more, he was tapping as if he wanted to dance and then later on during Tricks I think, he busted some awesome moves on stage! :awesome: it was so cute! WRY! Wow! Like the start was like building up and very powerful and Silas seemed to have especially fun during this one, I remember that :awesome: and then when the Am I Wry? Part came then the lyrics came to the background in like white on a black background and the text was shaking in a cool way..and the Diamond Ring part was so amazing! People were reeeeally exited for this song I think! And I was too of course! :heart: 156! was...It was good, but not one of my favourites. I ofc loved it, but it wasn't as epic as most of the songs for some reason. Thought the end (156 Dont' you just....) was really amazing because everyone was singing along!

Repeaterbeater!!! was SOOSOSOSO great! I think it was before this one that Bo went ”here comes Silas the magic car!!” but I'm not at all sure, so please correct me the people who were there..anyways, it was just one of those party songs and Jonas sounded amazing again! He was already doing little dance moves at one point, like more than usual you know.I loved the part ”how should I hold this girlfriend....” the most, and it was so much fun!

Sometimes Life Isn't Easy! (really isnt) was soooooooo awesome! I loved singin to it and I adored the backdrops and the kids choir when it was their part! This song was so fun! Also during at that one part towards the end, (was it the very end?) there was this grandma kind of thing on the screen singing the song and Jonas wasn't singing that part at all, so I though that was pretty funny! (and creepy, but that's their backdrops you know :awesome: )

TRICKS!!!!!!!!!! one of my absolute favourites and I was waiting for this song so much! It was just...perfect! The beat was so awesome and there was this backdrop of these guys dancing and clapping the beat and the audience clapped to that so that sounded just so amazing on the song you know!(actually now that I think of it, the clapping back drop might have been on Sometimes??:thinking:) oh well, it was still awesome!) And singing TAKE A CHANCE AND SHIMMY is one of my favourite moments of the whole concert! And during this one Jonas did his little dance thing (I think it was this one, but it's a bit hard to remember so I might be wrong too, so sorry if I am haha) and looked like he was having so much fun! Cartoons! It wasn't one of my favourite moments of the concert, but still totally amazing! Especially when it starts out so suddenly and we went nuts! :awesome: And Bo singing on it was just so good :heart: (the backs..) Then after Cartoons they left the stage and we started clapping! Clap clap clap you know! Then there was this awesome Owl on one of the backdrop screens like turning it's head back and forth from the crowd to the backstage you know, sort of like waiting for them to come back too! It was really cool! Okay then my favourite song of the night! SPECIAL! So Bo and Silas (and maybe the bass player and the keyboard dude came on too, not sure) came and started playing a long Special intro, sounded just perfect! Then when it was really close to the beginning of the singing part, Bo stopped, then Silas stopped too and Bo went ”wow that was fun, let's do it again!!” and Silas did a little laugh and they started the intro again from the beginning :lol: everyone was having so much fun in the crowd! Special was absolutely amazing, it's so amazing live and so much fun to sing to and dance around! That's why I wanted to take a video of it on the second night, to remember it..yeah and then Special went straight into Zookeeper's and people went C-R-A-Z-Y! :D Finns really love Zookeeper's too! People were singing so hard! And the first time Jonas sang MY LADY ARE YOU, I actually screamed (reflect :uhoh:) HELL YEAH :lol: I have no idea why though..:lol: but yeah..then they left again and we clapped again! Then they came back and started doing Louise Louisa! I had to call Karen and Emily again, because I know they love that song! It was absolutely perfect! :heart: Singing WHAT A DAY I'VE HAD was amazing, but NOW IT'S OVER ISN'T IT was really sad though :( Especially the ending was s oepicwhen it slowly started fading and first Silas left, Bass dude left, Bo left (can't remember the order) and in the end it was just the keyboard player and Jonas singing

sooo many times, I swear he sang it more than on the album version :P It was just so amazing. And then in the end it was just Jonas singing that and the keyboard player left and then it ended and Jonas lifted his head up and said thank you and smiled this absolutely perfect HUGEEE smile! He looked sooo happy and it just closed the night perfectly! I think I'll remember that smile forever! :P

After they finished we stayed on the barrier to wait for the setlists! We screamed and screamed to the security guards, but they were just sayign that if the band comes and gives them then they will, but they can't do it..so I don't think people got setlists tha night(?)..the security guards were really mean all the time too :\ but then we went out of the venue, bought t-shirts and I got this tiny CD for free too! And then we went outside to wait for the guys, but then we saw the girls and the guy from the supporting band (TaxiTaxi!) and went to talk to them (Anna in swedish, me in english :lol:) and they were so nice and we told them that we're coming to the other concert too, and they asked us if they wanted them to put us on their guest list because they didn't have anyone on it yet! So we did that and stuff and they said they don't think the guys are coming out and we were so tired and freezing and we got a ride then, so we just went home from there..

Some moments still that I can't put into a certain place in the concert, but I remember were when Bo went to fool around on Silas' drums, he kept hitting the cymbol with his fist while Silas was drumming and then Silas laughed at him and Bo pretended to bite the cymbol :lol: haha that was pretty hilarious looking! And also when Jonas said in Finnish ”Kiitos, on kiva olla täällä” which basically means ”thank you it's nice to be here” and then he said something about how beautiful the language is, but very hard! And then Bo said something like ”That was so beautiful, the language, you speaking it went straight to my hear” and gave Jonas a smile :heart: I'm soooo not sure of what he said, but I think it was something to that direction :lol: you people can correct me if I'm so out of line ;). I have some pictures and videos on my phone that I need to get, but I'll post them later then (The videos suck so bad though :uhoh2: ) But all in all the night was so amazing and I looked sooo horrible after it because I had so much clothes on for the queueing and I was partying so hard that I was allll sweaty after it :lol: And also, during many songs Jonas kept saying THANK YOU SO MUCH and he sounded so sweet saying that! So sincere :heart: and at some point about haf way Bo said something about how they had been here at the big ice hall for a concert and how they felt so much more at home here, at the small place and they thanked everyone who came. Also at some point Jonas or Bo (?) I think it was Jonas, thanked the supporting band TaxiTaxi for being there and then he thanked ”this finnish guy Tero who has a website that is more up to date then our own website” :stunned: Tero is like the Ian of Mew, so that was sooo nice of them to thank him!! :nice:

And we were so so so exited to be still seeing them for another night too that it was just crazy! Then we came to my place and did a tiny little review and spazzed to Kar and Em I think and took a shower and went to sleep (and slept like a baby!) :heart:

OKAY HERE YOU ARE (just the first night for now, sorryyyyy)

 

okay this is REEEALLY long so I'm putting it in the spoiler and the people who are not interested don't have to read it and don't have to complain about the longness of it, it's just for the people who wished for it (and myself so I can later come back to it) something also might be at totally wrong places, because I can't remember exactly how things happened, but it's something to this direction ;)

 

 

 

SO! Mew huh? I hope you're not sick of my stories yet because you know..this is gonna be long! :lol: so..yeah so we had two nights, first at Helsinki and second at Tampere which are like two hours from each other.

 

So we went to the first concert at around 4pm to queue and it was seriously so freaking freezing out there! Like in half an hour I was already COMPLETELY frozen you know! :P aaand we got in at around 7pm through the first doors, eft our jackets and stuff in the hangers and ran upstrairs and we had to queue for another 40 minutes..so we got to second row with Anna and a really good spot because the people infront of us were so short so we could see perfectly! And like seriously I was totally shocked of how TINY the venue really was! It was so small and crazy awesome! It was like tha size of our house or somehing so it was really small seriously :P The supporting band was TaxiTaxi! And they were really good! Two sisters and one cute guy! :P aaand then at 9pm Mew took the stage by starting out strongly with Snow Brigade!

Okay first of all I would like to say that all the songs were absolutely amazing! Their stage presence is unbelievable and even though they don't do much, it's till so..captivating! Especially Jonas, he is so focused that you could just look at him for hours! And Bo is amazing, he jams around with his guitar and fools around and talks a lot! And Silas! He is just too cute and his faces are irraplaceable when he is drumming and he looks like a little kid in his white collar shirt and bow tie :blush:

I thought that Snow Brigade was a great song to open the night with, although at that point it just came as such a shock (that they started not that they played SB) that I can't remember much of the song :P Okay I really can, it was amazing singin along to it and you know the Finns LOVE SB, so everyone was extremely exited about that! And the people around us were really into the band so it was nice to have people jump around with and not just dance all by yourself. Next up was Hawaii (or on the setlist: Hawaaiiiii :awesome: ) and it was so perfectly beautiful! I loved singing ”the world is like youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu” etc, and dancing to the beat and watching Jonas play that clungy thing! :D it was one of the best party songs along with Beach and Tricks! Reminded me of Kar and Em and I think I called them during that song too? Because I know how much they love it! It was really great to dance to it and sing along again. Shelter is a bit of a blur to me, I remember watching Jonas all the time and Bo coming infront of us (we were on Silas' side) and I got to touch his hand a bit too when he was giving it out during this one or Swanky, so that was pretty awesome! He is really really handsome you know! He had a little mustache, a black suit and black converses and a perfect hair do so he looked absolutely ace!! Anyways, I absolutely loooved Swanky! It was..perfect! Though I like the red version of it more, but live this was much better! This song is really so much better live than on album I think! IPP and Silas were just so great! I remember singing on top of my voice, jumping up and down, throwing my hair around and just watching the guys and how much they were really enjoying it! They seemed to be having SO MUCH fun you know! APOCALYPSO! WHAT ARE YOUR STORIES ALL ABOUT It was so so so so so POWERFUL and just all around AMAZING! Probably my second favourite from the first night (after Special). The whole song was just..one huge fest of epicness! I had waited for that for a really long time too because I KNEW it would be amazing live, so when I heard the first note I went absolutely NUTS :freak: Next up was Saviours Of Jazz Ballet! That was incredible! Pumping your fist to the rythm of Silas' drums and singing HEY FOLKSSSS out loud felt so incredible, it was like..the fans were so into that song it felt like we were singing it together with Jonas as a choir and not as an audience! The lights were amazing on this one too! BAMSE! First I was like creeped out by it, but then I realized that it was so beautiful! Like the message in it is so great. I loved it when Jonas went next to the screen and like ”pulled” the bear out of the screen as it came visible..also the fact that when the bear was talking, Jonas was so focused and looking at it. I loved it that all the guys were singing (bass and keyboards you know) and the song part of Bamse was just so incredibly beautiful and touching! Next up...one of my absolute favourites from No More Stories..BEACH! It was absolutely A M A Z I N G ! It was so bouncy and happy and danceable and just like..the lyrics are so much fun to sing along to you know! I remember at this point during Beach I could see Jonas moving a bit more, he was tapping as if he wanted to dance and then later on during Tricks I think, he busted some awesome moves on stage! :awesome: it was so cute! WRY! Wow! Like the start was like building up and very powerful and Silas seemed to have especially fun during this one, I remember that :awesome: and then when the Am I Wry? Part came then the lyrics came to the background in like white on a black background and the text was shaking in a cool way..and the Diamond Ring part was so amazing! People were reeeeally exited for this song I think! And I was too of course! :heart: 156! was...It was good, but not one of my favourites. I ofc loved it, but it wasn't as epic as most of the songs for some reason. Thought the end (156 Dont' you just....) was really amazing because everyone was singing along!

Repeaterbeater!!! was SOOSOSOSO great! I think it was before this one that Bo went ”here comes Silas the magic car!!” but I'm not at all sure, so please correct me the people who were there..anyways, it was just one of those party songs and Jonas sounded amazing again! He was already doing little dance moves at one point, like more than usual you know.I loved the part ”how should I hold this girlfriend....” the most, and it was so much fun!

Sometimes Life Isn't Easy! (really isnt) was soooooooo awesome! I loved singin to it and I adored the backdrops and the kids choir when it was their part! This song was so fun! Also during at that one part towards the end, (was it the very end?) there was this grandma kind of thing on the screen singing the song and Jonas wasn't singing that part at all, so I though that was pretty funny! (and creepy, but that's their backdrops you know :awesome: )

TRICKS!!!!!!!!!! one of my absolute favourites and I was waiting for this song so much! It was just...perfect! The beat was so awesome and there was this backdrop of these guys dancing and clapping the beat and the audience clapped to that so that sounded just so amazing on the song you know!(actually now that I think of it, the clapping back drop might have been on Sometimes??:thinking:) oh well, it was still awesome!) And singing TAKE A CHANCE AND SHIMMY is one of my favourite moments of the whole concert! And during this one Jonas did his little dance thing (I think it was this one, but it's a bit hard to remember so I might be wrong too, so sorry if I am haha) and looked like he was having so much fun! Cartoons! It wasn't one of my favourite moments of the concert, but still totally amazing! Especially when it starts out so suddenly and we went nuts! :awesome: And Bo singing on it was just so good :heart: (the backs..) Then after Cartoons they left the stage and we started clapping! Clap clap clap you know! Then there was this awesome Owl on one of the backdrop screens like turning it's head back and forth from the crowd to the backstage you know, sort of like waiting for them to come back too! It was really cool! Okay then my favourite song of the night! SPECIAL! So Bo and Silas (and maybe the bass player and the keyboard dude came on too, not sure) came and started playing a long Special intro, sounded just perfect! Then when it was really close to the beginning of the singing part, Bo stopped, then Silas stopped too and Bo went ”wow that was fun, let's do it again!!” and Silas did a little laugh and they started the intro again from the beginning :lol: everyone was having so much fun in the crowd! Special was absolutely amazing, it's so amazing live and so much fun to sing to and dance around! That's why I wanted to take a video of it on the second night, to remember it..yeah and then Special went straight into Zookeeper's and people went C-R-A-Z-Y! :D Finns really love Zookeeper's too! People were singing so hard! And the first time Jonas sang MY LADY ARE YOU, I actually screamed (reflect :uhoh:) HELL YEAH :lol: I have no idea why though..:lol: but yeah..then they left again and we clapped again! Then they came back and started doing Louise Louisa! I had to call Karen and Emily again, because I know they love that song! It was absolutely perfect! :heart: Singing WHAT A DAY I'VE HAD was amazing, but NOW IT'S OVER ISN'T IT was really sad though :( Especially the ending was s oepicwhen it slowly started fading and first Silas left, Bass dude left, Bo left (can't remember the order) and in the end it was just the keyboard player and Jonas singing

sooo many times, I swear he sang it more than on the album version :P It was just so amazing. And then in the end it was just Jonas singing that and the keyboard player left and then it ended and Jonas lifted his head up and said thank you and smiled this absolutely perfect HUGEEE smile! He looked sooo happy and it just closed the night perfectly! I think I'll remember that smile forever! :P

After they finished we stayed on the barrier to wait for the setlists! We screamed and screamed to the security guards, but they were just sayign that if the band comes and gives them then they will, but they can't do it..so I don't think people got setlists tha night(?)..the security guards were really mean all the time too :\ but then we went out of the venue, bought t-shirts and I got this tiny CD for free too! And then we went outside to wait for the guys, but then we saw the girls and the guy from the supporting band (TaxiTaxi!) and went to talk to them (Anna in swedish, me in english :lol:) and they were so nice and we told them that we're coming to the other concert too, and they asked us if they wanted them to put us on their guest list because they didn't have anyone on it yet! So we did that and stuff and they said they don't think the guys are coming out and we were so tired and freezing and we got a ride then, so we just went home from there..

Some moments still that I can't put into a certain place in the concert, but I remember were when Bo went to fool around on Silas' drums, he kept hitting the cymbol with his fist while Silas was drumming and then Silas laughed at him and Bo pretended to bite the cymbol :lol: haha that was pretty hilarious looking! And also when Jonas said in Finnish ”Kiitos, on kiva olla täällä” which basically means ”thank you it's nice to be here” and then he said something about how beautiful the language is, but very hard! And then Bo said something like ”That was so beautiful, the language, you speaking it went straight to my hear” and gave Jonas a smile :heart: I'm soooo not sure of what he said, but I think it was something to that direction :lol: you people can correct me if I'm so out of line ;). I have some pictures and videos on my phone that I need to get, but I'll post them later then (The videos suck so bad though :uhoh2: ) But all in all the night was so amazing and I looked sooo horrible after it because I had so much clothes on for the queueing and I was partying so hard that I was allll sweaty after it :lol: And also, during many songs Jonas kept saying THANK YOU SO MUCH and he sounded so sweet saying that! So sincere :heart: and at some point about haf way Bo said something about how they had been here at the big ice hall for a concert and how they felt so much more at home here, at the small place and they thanked everyone who came. Also at some point Jonas or Bo (?) I think it was Jonas, thanked the supporting band TaxiTaxi for being there and then he thanked ”this finnish guy Tero who has a website that is more up to date then our own website” :stunned: Tero is like the Ian of Mew, so that was sooo nice of them to thank him!! :nice:

And we were so so so exited to be still seeing them for another night too that it was just crazy! Then we came to my place and did a tiny little review and spazzed to Kar and Em I think and took a shower and went to sleep (and slept like a baby!) :heart:

I'm just gonna post this first night review now and the second on later, I hope that's okay, I just want to post something because I promised and I don't have time to do the second night today or tomorrow because I'm going to another concert tonight and Linda is coming here, so.. :P But here's the pictures of the t-shirt and the tiny CD that I Got that night!

Well, I only got an iPod the day of my Coldplay concert from my friend after obsessively only listening to coldplay on my mp3 player....ad then I also lost all my music this summer, so yeah only 318 :P
