everyone is fasting today and I had to spend 3 hours passing my friends time while she fasted. I suffered so much not being able to eat for 3 hours :wacko:

ppl here are fasting because it's yom kiput (jewish holiday where u fast the whole day to make up for all the bad things u did during the year). But I didnt fast because im not relegious.

And it's almost over, i think there's only a half an hour left to go... until sundown

yeah:) it's ramadan, and there's about 23 days left:\ it lasts for a month

yea i know...

there are some arab villaged close to where i live and they always pray through mega phones so i can hear them praying from my house. It's actually kind of annoying, because i see prayer as an idvidual thing, i dont think they should make the whole of jerusalem listen to the prayers along with them. But the point is that during ramadan they pray even more, so I'll know once it's over cause they'll stop praying as much :wacko:

they pray 5 times a day... i know because i had to study alot about the islam through arabic studies. Like i know the 5 things a muslim must do are:

- prayer

- fast

- charity

- going up to meca

- and i think the last is saying that "there's no god other than alla and muhamad is his messenger"... which in arabic sounds like 'alla lla alla lalala muhamda alla" lol :laugh3:

just for a family trip... we'll be there about 10 days...

but china is really far :stunned: so it feels kind of surreal

 

last night i dreamt that we got to china, but then we realised that my dad forgot his suitcase at home so we flew back home to get it. And then my family said "since we're already back we'll just stay here". And i got really mad and said "But we were suppose to go to china! I told everyone i was going!" and i thought, during the dream, that that was reallt happening lol. So i woke up relieved :P

i guess im just kind of excited :wacko:

i was in Hong Kong once but that's not counted as china i think...

we're going to be in all kinds of cities, taking flight inside china itself...

he's always there for bussiness. That's why we're going there, because he knows places and things, and he got his company to pay for our trip because he's always there... so it's nice :nice:
