My friend told me she found this Coldplay x&y album but the asian version which is this one, but I am still thinking about it. All it has are all the b-sides to the X&Y singles and the single videos.. I don't have all the single albums yet but I'm going to buy them as soon as I can find them for a cheaper value and new and I already have all the videos. If I buy this it will only be for collection type of thing..:thinking: This one is official right? :idea2:

Well I already have all the b-sides but on mp3s and not all the singles cds.. which I am going to buy as soon as I find where to buy them..except amazon. It's too expensive there...:\

There are a few different tour versions of x&y. I recently bought the Dutch Tour Edition, which had a 2nd disc with b-sides. The southeast asian edition, which I believe you are referring to, is also 2 discs, but disc two is DVD only - so I would not reccommend this if you do not have the means to extract the audio from the DVD. *shrug*

I've seen three...Asian, Dutch and Australian.

 

No...the Dutch one does not have videos - just audio on the 2nd disc. I have only seen the Aussie one online, so I'm not sure what's on there. My local record store had the other two...and I bought the Dutch one out of desperation..I wanted Gravity & Sleeping Sun.....I'm stupid sometimes...essentially paying 40 dollars for two songs. :thinking: The alternative was was waiting for the single to arrive in the mail, and I prefer instant gratification when it comes to music.

DO NOT!!!! buy this from amazon. Go through eBay GEMM or the like; you'll find this for much cheaper. The South east Asian edition was released in Taiwan, Japan and Malaysia. You'll find the Malaysian version to be the cheapest (it has no OBI), but it's the same as the other three.

 

OTW, like other's wrote in, there's an Australian Tour edition, which contains the same content. (audio and video)

 

The Dutch Special release is a separate item that was an earlier release.

 

Don't ever pay Amazon or EIL prices for this stuff thouugh. Caiman.com is another great source for fair prices.

for collection purposes, like i wrote above, of the Asian released editions, there is the Malaysian (mo OBI), the Taiwan release (w/OBI) and a limited Japanese release.
