Oh, this movie is so touching. Has anyone seen it? Its about this man, Sam, who is mentally challenged and has the IQ of a 7 year old. Well he ends up getting a woman pregnant, and of course she doesn't want the baby, so Sam ends up getting the baby. Well later on, Lucy, Sam's daughter, turns 7 and begins to be smarter than Sam. So a social worker begins to think that its not the best thing for Lucy to be raised by Sam, so she has her put into foster care. Well Sam gets a lawyer to represent him, and what not, its just really touching. Its really incredible. Seann Penn plays Sam, and he does an amazing job. The moral to this story is 'all you need is love'. I highly recommend this film.

I have it is soo good...he doooo deserved the oscar but so did russel crowe so i dunno butt hey the little girl was good.and if they did half the things or said half the things they said to the little girl i would go off!! and its sad because that has or can happen in real life...now if i see sean penn in another movie than im always reminded of "i am sam" out of his many characters cyuz he did an awsome job. if you havent seen it than go get it and watch it!!

This movie made me cry... Sean Penn did an excellent job as always and Dakota Fanning is a great actress for her age! And the fact that the soundtrack consisted of Beatles' tracks made this movie so so enjoyable..!!
