Do you bother to send Christmas cards, or are they now obsolete due to text messaging, e-cards and IM?

If you do still send them or hand them out, how many?

Is it traditional to send them in your country? I've noticed that people aren't anywhere near as into sending cards (of any sort) in Germany as they are in the UK.

Card shops don't really exist in their own right.

 

Do you have a different attitude towards birthday cards and cards for other occasions, or not?

we (me and mi familia) only send christmas cards to our relatives who live abroad. ;)

why should i send my friends card when i see them 2 days before christmas?

mhh...cards for other occasions..? for birthdays of course.

but that's about it.

i rather tell that person my wishes right into their face instead of sending a card...

I agree. I don't see the point in sending cards to people you can't be bothered to get in touch with properly.;)

i do send christmas cards. i normally send them to my relatives.

 

i dont really send christmas cards to my friends. however i might write some for the ones who live abroad.

Last year on the day before we got out for Chrismas break I baked my friends cookies and gave them Christmas cards! :nice:

Every year, we do. There's like a list and everything, but if I'm giving a present to someone, I usually attach a card. And if they're a friend, but not as close I might give them a card or something.

 

And there is always room for a birthday card.

Well indeed :P. But my mum wanted to send them anyway. No matter when, but as I said, this year we'll try (as always) to send them on time ... I wonder when they'll actually arrive though... :P

we always say that we sould send our friends and family christmas cards but we never do, we usually get all these cards though, to make us feel guilty lol

my family use to send xmas cards to our close friends and relatives, but then we just stopped. personally, i sent cards once to my friends but now that we all live far away, i send them personalised e-cards and a private email. i haven't done so yet though the year isn't over yet :nice:
