This may have been threaded about, but I read on one of Debs' Q&As that the fourth album will be released next year.

aww it's not that far away! look on the bright side, at least it's not like a 2010 release. because THAT would suck. 2008 is pretty good, and maybe we'll even get a new single or a small taste of the album later this year, fingers crossed. :D

^ exactly. it's not that far away! in a way i'm glad it won't be released this year. the album release in 2005, the concert in 2006 ... i think anticipation will only make it better if we wait a while, and a year is nothing really.

I was under the impression that it would come out in Summer/Christmas of 2007.... and a tour in 2008... (im saying that cause in the 2006 toronto concert tv special chris martin said they would be back in a couple of years (2 years) meaning another album tour in 08... they tour in 07 in Latin America, then release the album near the end of the year, start a tour in 2008... i think thats whats going to happen. Im pretty sure it has been speculated that it would be released in 2007.

 

If it goes the way i think it will, that would be awsome, if not, i can wait till 08 i guess.. I mean, we will get to hear new songs in March if were lucky enough to get a bootleg (lol, chances are by the time a bootleg comes out, they album will be out)...

'07 would obviously be nice, but considerring they're just starting work on the new album, it could take awhile, especially with the S. American tour. The good news is that you probably won't have to wait that long to start hearing new material. several members of this forum and the official site are going to the shows, so I'm sure someone will upload some new goodies to tide us over!:)

I hope they'll work hard for the fourth album to make great songs with a different style .. i think 3 years are enough for them

I HIGHLY doubt it will be no pianos, as pianos had been a part of Coldplay music since almost the beginning. I'm guessing early 2008 with a single in November, but thats just a guestimate.

I spose you're right...I'm just hangin out for their new stuff, and I was under the impression that it was gonna be released June/July 07...and if they say 2008...that doesnt mean January. But yeh, I do hope they put lots of effort and time into it - I'm sure they will.

Yeah same here. It will be too much of a distraction.

But im still hoping for a 07 christmas release or a January release in 2008, so it will be my theme for me first year at university ;) . That would be the best christmas present i've ever had, IMO.

I'm still hoping for a late summer/autumn release, but that does seem early. :\

And I like to think that the reason they're not performing new songs in Latin America is because a new single/album will drop REAL soon.

You're VERY optimistic,lol.I had thought there might be a new album by the end of 07, but hearing about Eno changed my mind. He's a stickler for details, and an utter perfectionist, so I'm not going to hold my breath.
